I utilized the free trial plan to build and configure my community. I was finally ready to launch so I paid for the upgrade from free to a paid cloud subscription 8/17/23. The order immediately said it had to be reviewed for fraud, which is reasonable. I reached out to support asking if there was anything they needed on my end. I was told they just had to review and it takes up to 48 hours. I've been emailing and support has been next to no help... Fast forward over a week and I'm still waiting. At this point I'm losing opportunity and time to get ahead of other sites launching in this niche. Has anybody had this…

Hey folks, just curious, as a user here in this community, when I go to see a profile, I always look for their website url in contact methods at their profile page, because I am curious what others are doing with their IP Communities. But rarely, if ever, do I see their links. Is there a reason folks here don't want other folks visiting their sites? I know many communities are pretty private for one reason or another, but for those who run a generally public community such as gaming, cars, guns, software, and much more, is there a reason why folks don't like to put their community link in their contact methods? Just curious is all.

In courses, on a lesson page (domain.com/courses/lesson/4-lesson-name/), the lesson title is an h2 tag. There's no h1 tag. Why is that? For SEO purposes, and even for CSS styling purposes, it seems like it would make more sense to have the lesson title be an h1 tag and then my own subtitles be h2 tags? Whoops: I just realized that the page is meant to be viewed as part of a module, and thus the module name is the h1 tag. Makes sense.

There is in the forum settings, the option that the post counter is not increased, also works. Could you somehow make it so that the box "forum statistics" also takes into this? Is there also the possibility to disable reactions for a forum? Kind regards, Vakarian

I have 3 simple scenarios that I would like to implement the group promotion: 1st: Alex is moved to group A if his content count is exactly 10 2nd: Alex is moved from Group A to group B if his content count is exactly 500 3rd: Alex is moved from Group B to group C if his content count is exactly 5000 I have ordered that accordingly to the number (1 to 3) For now, the group promotion I've set only work for 1st scenario but not the other 2. Would could possibly be the issue here?

Hey Guys I am wondering if there is a way to make sure that deleted content is served as a 410 GONE error instead of a 404 page. I want to signal to Google that the content is deleted for good, so a 410 would be much better than serving a 404. But I don't know if there is any way in IPB to do that. Basically, every topic that I delete I would like to serve a 410, so that Google knows that the content is deleted for good and it can then quickly deindex it. Kind regards, Marcel

Hi all, when you are in the Client Area and go in My Details -> Alternative Contacts there is the chance to add an Email that has access to opening tickets and pay invoices: Will this contact also receive emails related to the original profile regarding that product (such as invoices notes or generic alerts on the selected product)? Otherwise, there is a way to receive emails not only at the address in section Account setting -> Email Address? Can we change the Display name in the Client Area? At the moment it is different from the one with which we can open the topics on the community (and we would like it to be Rulex for both). Thanks for you…

I am running the Self Hosted Invision Community platform and I would like to activate Zapier to perform some automations... is it possible? I have found this guide: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496160685069-How-to-Get-Started-with-Invision-Community-on-Zapier#about-invision-community-s-integration-0-0 When I got to the AdminCP and click on Enable to activate Zapier, I get a 503 error in web browser.

Hello, I'm trying to use the euro symbol (€) but even installing a european language like dutch does not seem to solve it, while it was suggested in this topic that i found here: Does anyone have a clue on how I can make it so it doesn't show EUR but an actual Euro symbol( €)? Edit: To add, the USD symbol is actually shown as $ and not USD too.

Hi, My forum is functioning slowly; the only hint I have is the l support center dashboard that indicates a pumped-up folder log with a 139.03 MB log table. Most of the logs are irrelevant anymore and fixed. Can it be the root cause? Maybe if I empty the folder, think will start moving faster.

I am not sure what I am looking for, whether it is a widget, a module, or something else. It is possibly not something native to Invision and if so, maybe point me to a possible option. I have an active community mostly in English, however, once in a while a poster will post in Dutch. I am wondering if there is something that can be used to translate only that post when it happens. I know I can highlight, copy and paste the post into Google Translate to read it, but I wonder if there is something that can be added so a single click on the post, could get it translated. Maybe there is nothing, but i think it is worth asking.

Another question here on behalf of a friend who is getting ready to add an IPS community to their site. They've asked me a few questions, and this is something that we've never needed in our community, so I'm not sure of an answer. 1) Does Invision offer any options for hosting video meetings -- anything that would serve as an alternative to running meetings in ZOOM Pro? 2) Is there a way to have a chat feature in the community? I'm currently running on the free trial, getting everything setup and ready for a full launch. I've given the link to a few people (20-ish) around the web to try it out and get their thoughts. I'll be switching to a paid subscription and moving the forum to my domain, so I was curious will the trial url automatically redirect them to the new domain? If it doesn't do this automatically, is there any way to set this up?

I'm in the process of recommending Invision to a friend. They're wanting to add a forum to their existing site, and I think this is exactly what they need. Quick question, and I've tried searching but am not sure of the terms. As it stands now, the website is a large collecting database that requires a user to have a username, e-mail address and password for their account to access the database. The Invision community would be added in a subfolder to the existing site as another feature to work with the database. Is it possible to create automatic accounts in the Invision Community that would match and/or link to the accounts on the current site? Sorry if that's conf…
