I have several blog posts set to be scheduled but, running into an issue in which the post is not showing up publicly after it scheduled time to do so. Is there anything I should be looking into in order for this action to go forward?

Are your tasks running properly? Scheduled entries are  published by a task that runs every 15 (?) minutes if I remember correctly.

 

updaterecords is set for every 10 minutes but has not run since midnight early this morning. Just hit the run now button and the post got pushed publicly. Looks like will need to setup cron job as right now the site doesn't get much traffic to trigger these tasks yet.

Setting cron up would indeed be advisable in that scenario
