What information will Invision be giving to skinners prior to the full release? After a quick look around l see a few things that will render 2.1.x skins unusable. l think IPB should acknowledge the debt they owe to skinners and modders, and give them information needed to upgrade before new versions are released. :)

Some suggestions: 1. Searching for usernames when sending a PM does not use one of those fancy "action complete" message boxes when inserting the name, which it should IMO. 2. If you don't have a signature, and you click "edit signature", then the 'Your current Signature' heading displays with nothing under it. Perhaps it should say "No Information"? 3. 'My Friends' opens in a new window, completly differently to My Assistant, perhaps that should be changed? 4. In Board Settings in UCP, 'Do you wish to get a board notification when you get a new personal message?' should be under the 'Personal Messenger Options' heading.*24. I remember a while back when IPS had an early 2.2 up and running for a fake company the skin looked like the ACP, was that just for show or will we see that skin with the final release.

Request: User editable usergroups

Great work with the beta, looking great. Though I do have a very important feature request. Like phpbb, why not allow usergroups to be assigned a "leader" who can add or remove members? I think this can be very useful for many forums who want to create groups for users. Ofcourse, the leader is appointed through the admin panel, but after that, the leader can add or remove members he wants from that single group. Is this possible at all?

Will my SQL database be wiped out if I installl 2.2?

I am not very clear on that note. From what I understand about the warning, installing this release will result in a total loss of data. Is that referring to total loss of the 2.1.7 data or the SQL data such as people's posts, passwords, usernames etc... Can someone please clarify this for me? Thank you in advance!

Make Birthday Date Editable

I would like to have the option to be able to edit members' birthdays, either through the ACP or through their profile. This can be handy when an admin does not want banned members to show in "Today's Birthdays".

It seems that with every update, the previous skins are trashed and incompatible. It's one of the main reasons I dread updating IPB. It's like telling me that I have a car with some tweaking on the engine, but I can't use the porshe body anymore, I have to use the yugo one. I know for myself I bought IPB intially because it was so easy to add skins, customize then to suit ones particular flavor of a site, and draw members simply from the astetics of the site itself. Skins should always be compatible, and if any new feature is given to the 'engine' that the skin can have the 'option' of calling, well list those add-ins, and small patches could be made in it so members…

Mini-menu problem + A Question

I don't know how else to describe what I am talking about better than just saying the "mini-menu". What I am talking about is on the editing User Groups page. When you click on the little drop-down to choose to edit the menu, it doesn't just select the menu of the item you are clicking. It seems to turn everything on. Then because of spacing, if you try to scroll down to select the edit command you end up having to scroll left then down, because otherwise it tries to edit the next option down. Is anyone else having issues with Clickable Smilies in the Toggle-able Side Panel? When I click one, nothing happens. :blink: I've been using the dropdown to get them to insert.I haven't installed yet, so this is just on the corporate forums; I'm using Opera 9.

Hello, The bug existed for versions, but long time ago, no problem. After editing a member if the first symbol of his id is non-english, the page turns to 'can not find the page'. Note: the member can be successful edited, just the redirect page went wrong. if the first symbol of his id is english, no such problem. for example: cat人 - no problem, 大cat - got redirection problem.

Maybe I found a bug when quote a post with CODE tags. after making a post like that, the content below CODE head-tag are missing and can not be full edited. now you click the full edit, and then press Ctrl+N to create a new IE window(based on the full edit window ) and Quick Edit, then you can edit it successfully. now return the window which is keeping in full edit mode, click Submit Modified Post, then you will find the content doubled! Actually they are 2 bugs, but the 2nd bug is so sinuous.

Now I cannot insert emotions from left list. When insert some emotions from the dropdown menu, then switch the editor to standard mode, the emotions break :)

I have my test board set up, I make a test post, I add an (image) attachment, I click on the attached image to view an enlargement... I get a permissions error. I can't view the full size image. Any way I can fix that? Can't find it in the ACP - and why would I want to restrict that anyway? Edit: Hang on... I posted that because I found it a problem while previewing a post with an attached image. When I submitted the post I lose the attachment thumbnail - and thumbnails are turned on in the ACP.
