Now, I'm not an expert on skinning, and I don't know if this has already been suggested or discussed (I would imagine it has), BUT I would love to see a feature where Average Joe Admin (whom I happen to be) can adjust the colors to the boards in a "user friendly" template type of interface.

this is probably not relavent here but at least it will get noticed. basicly my password has been changed for my client area and i cannot login. i have been trying all week to get this resolved and either i'm being ignored or your email system aint working. i have tryed the forgotten password form it says its sent and i never recieve it. i have emailed both support and sales email addresses and still no reply. any help please? from what i can gather form the responce link in the email my ticket ID is 394216 oh and thats another problem, i cant even see my ticket because i need to login to the client area. how am i supposed to get in touch with IPS abouit my login …

[Suggestion] - Profile, Last Visitors, Friends Blocks

I'd like to make a small suggestion to the Last Visitors and Friends Blocks. Current when viewing the profile and these two particular blocks, you see their name, last activity or some other data and their profile picture. This all looks very, forumish. Which, yes I know it's a forum. However, I'd sure love the option of a more 2.0 feel. So how's this. Instead of showing the last activity, name, and other data directly. Have 2 or 3 columns of nothing but the profile pics. Then when you mouse over them, a tooptip pops up showing the name, last activity data. Example photo: Something like that would be cool.

I just download the latest version from the customer area, and while installing I noticed it shows 2.3 beta 1. Did I download the correct version or it hasn't been updated? Also, I noticed that my older version of 2.2.7's ACP didn't show that I am having the latest version.

Welcome Message at the top of the forum

It would be a good idea to have an option to turn on or off a Welcome Message at the top of the forum, when guest are looking through the forum at the top of the main page of the forum have a Welcome Message telling your guest why they should join your forum and what benefits they would get. This would hide when your memebrs log in. Although this is very simple to add yourself but it would be nice to see this added, to ACP as a common component. Just a thought which has probably been asked countless times. :lol:

I'm not sure if this is the place to post this, sorry if it's not. I have just purchased 3 products from you today. Gallery, Blog and Forum. My question is this, I was looking at the Blog and Gallery versions and what forum version there designed for. I wanted to use the Blog and Gallery for IPB 2.2 forum board. But couldn't find IPB 2.2 version for download. only IPB 2.3 and 2.1. Now I know the option is there to download the upgrade scripts to take IPB 2.1 to IPB 2.2, but I would like to avoid doing that really if there is a IPB 2.2 download somewhere else, or if the latest IPB 2.3 version is fully compatible with the Blog and Gallery designed for use with IPB 2.2. In the ACP when you hit the management bar always loads Category and Forums Overview screen first... This is not good because you might go there for member account or any account issues other than Category and Forums Overview... Every time I go in (keep in mind my site has so many categories) every single time the program loads Category and Forums Overview.... In ACP it takes time to load that I do this so many time every day... I recommend to IBP to make a little change to make Category and Forums Overview under management bar to show after a click... Not after you hit management bar.... I hope I am clear....

Hello, I'd like to see better support for memcached, i.e. store more info. A setting to change how often time wise to update the views, the current one isn't really simple unless you manually edit code. Better support for multi-server setups (rebuilding the cache on both servers etc) as well as support for slave databases Support for innodb with seprate search, this would make the board a lot more stable and scalable. Other than that everything else is just improving just fine :)

At the moment IPB currently uses the target="_blank" to work for links etc, would it be possible to code in a valid xhtml code instead also when using attachments which are images a nice feature might be to have lightbox / similar integrated so it opens up in that rather than just a blank white page background... I just feel that both of these might make the forum seem more professional in terms of both validation and appearance...

Showing Users As Typing

I have mentioned this before, but since most people use fast reply it won't show them as typing. i wonder if it would even be possible to show them as typing. I assume it would be possible just as on instant messenger services it will tell when someone is typing. That would be nice becuase as it is you rarely see someone as typing in the user list.

Multiple Calenders

I'm trying to set up multiple calenders - one for one set of users, and another for another set which I'm introducing to my forum. So far I haven't managed to break the existing calendar (always a good sign), but i'm having problems getting members of a new user group with new permission mask to access a new calendar. Admins can now see and use both calenders. Existing members can still see their calender New users can't see anything, however single day events appear in the front page, whereas ranged events don't... Clicking the "calendar" tab just comes up with "You do not have permission to view this calendar or this calendar does not exist" when I'm logged in …

Hello, I already have an IP.Board Liescence that expires in about 2 months. I want to buy the Blog and Gallery in the next couple of days. My question is that can I ask IPS if they can turn all those liescences into the Community Suite so when renewal comes around it is only $25 for all of them. Thanks, BigTom3007
