Fire_Phoenix
At the moment IPB currently uses the target="_blank" to work for links etc, would it be possible to code in a valid xhtml code insteadalso when using attachments which are images a nice feature might be to have lightbox / similar integrated so it opens up in that rather than just a blank white page background...I just feel that both of these might make the forum seem more professional in terms of both validation and appearance... bfarber
http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_a.aspThe target attribute is allowed in both transitional and frameset doctypes - we use transitional, so it's perfectly valid....
.Ryan
Defiantly with the light box, I would love a feature for images like that.Maybe we can do that in the download manager too.
Fire_Phoenix
ah ok, i didnt know the target was still appreciated in xhtml 1.0 transitional, i only tried checking it against 1.1thanks
someotherguy582
Lightbox would be cool. But I'm not sure if a lot of users would want it. Maybe it would be better off as a modification?
Fire_Phoenix
lightbox code i think was about 20kb to implement, and what would the difference be from opening an image in a white background page, or a lightbox window, apart from lightbox probably would look more professional...
