[Suggestion] 'ACP Home' Content

So I were thinking... and thought would it be possible to have the ability to click and drag the little sections in the Dashboard of the AdminCP. Why? ...because the 'Admin Notes' is at the bottom and even on my large high resolution screen it's out of the way and to me and possibly other administrators the 'Communication' section is a little more important than say; 'Tasks and Statistics' section. Even if that isn't the priority arrangement for most administrators there may be other orders, either way; with the ability to click and drag will allow us to customise to our needs. I remember back in 2.2 on the Admin tab (first page) under the IPB version there was a PHP info link. I know I could just write "<? phpinfo(); ?>" and see it, but still, it'd be nice to have for development reasons. .....Or, is it there and I'm just blind?

Hi. I am Italian and I apologize me for my incorrect English. I have sent ago a mail to the invision different times but I have not had still answered. How much is the response time usually? However my question is this: Even if is there now the ipb 2.3 I can purchase the ipb 2.2.0 however? I have noticed that a lot of modses that I have found around for the net work with those versions. Topic Multi-Moderation

When you select a topic for multi-moderation from the forum overview and then go to another forum to select another, the submit button for the moderation action will say something like "2 selected (1 from other pages)". This might be an useful feature, but there doesn't seem to be any way to remove the old selection when you just want to moderate topics on the current page. Instead, you would have to go through all your forums to find a thread you accidentallty selected earlier. Any chance this could be changed?

I used this forum software for the first time, today. I did not see an error in my preview, so I posted. Then I saw error in subject line. Tried to edit post (full edit) however that did not allow this... I could not edit the subject line. Why do you not allow the subject line to be edited, if User requested the ability to edit the post? Thank you.

Well, i was just browsing through my new purchased IPB licence since converting from MyBB and when i look at the side panel which usually comes up it wasn't there at all, i was like wtf is happening, so i am just wondering if any of you have had this problem before and if there would be an easy fix for it. OK I run a GFX website and have competions between members. and post polls for the other members to vote on the GFX in question. But there is no way to tell if the orginal artist is voting for themselves. So how about a "See Who Voted" section in the admin CP or where the number is with the number of votes in the topic bow about a link to a popup that shows who voted for that image?

According to me:- Most of the people perfer only 2 forums 1) Invision power Board 2) Vbulletin But i think 70% people using Vbulletin and only 30% for IPB why most of the people perfer vbulletin only because of two reasons 1) Vbulletin work very fast as compare to IPB. after paying for the gallery does it take before i can download it. i payed via paypal it says payment was recieved, but i gotta wait for a manual check or something. considering you guys built a IPN system for subscriptions within IP.Board i thought ya would of done the same with the client area. SMF Conversion Problem

I've just conversed my SMF-forum to IPB, and then did all the recounts, rebuilds and resynchronizes. Everything's ok, except for the boards! The categories are there, but they don't have any boards... :blink: , but during the resynchronization I clearly saw the names of the boards appearing. But, only the categories are there in the Admin Panel and every category is empty. I'm willing to give my admin-username and stuff so people can help me.

My suggestion is that we need an inbuilt shout box. (can be turned on/off) and in edit user groups thr can be features like "user can view shoutbox" and "user can shout in shoutbox" Just incase some ppl dont know what a shoutbox is, it's a small chat box at the top of the forum.

It would make sense to be able to choose what forthcoming events should be displayed (like events AND birthdays). Either having this as an option for birthdays with own forthcoming settings (as with events) OR include birthdays as an option to the already existing functionality of events? E.g. Currently the following can be shown: "Forthcoming Calendar Events within the next 30 days", but there isn't a option to do the same with birthdays. I have nothing bad to say about Invision at all, I think its great, love the software and tech support is quick and helpful etc.. but I do find it a bit off that I have to pay $15 for a partial back up to restore our Pm's that went missing tonight :( (yet I could have a full back up for free, only downside is that I lose all the posts that were made since the backup) I mean I have a licence for the board/gallery/blogs and downloads and pay for support, so not to happy that I have to pay this for a table that "disappeared" :(

Well i got my IPB purchased Finally, and if anyone remembers what i said i was using MYBB and i wanted to convert to IPB, well i got the convertor installed all correctly, but when it came to transfering members it gave me IPS Driver Error. This: IPS Driver Error There appears to be an error with the database. Well, when i went to purchase it today, i entered all the information in and so on, and when i entered my e-mail, it says this member is already registered in our database, please log in below, so when i went to log in, it sent me to a 404 file not found, and i was like whats happening, and when i tried purchasing with my other e-mail which wasn't registered here it also would not work, so what am i supposed to do? Well, i was going to purchase IPB, but then when i looked at the convertors there were no convertors from MyBB, would that mean i would have to start again? Because this is really my first ever big forum that i have actually gotten this many members, and i don't want to loose that because the site is actually quite popular, so if there is a convertor from MyBB i will be gladly purchasing IPB:) Thanks for the answers.
