Safari Error

I've been getting this fairly often when browsing topics on here over the last few days. Is it an error on the site or an error with my internet connection? Generally I have to wait a few minutes and it starts working again if I go back to the forum index page. Safari can’t open the page. Safari can’t open the page “http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?showtopic=267613”. The error was: “bad server response” (NSURLErrorDomain:-1011) If it's an error with my internet, I'll go away quietly. :lol: Just wanted to see if there was anything wrong with the server the forum was on or something related. Thanks. :)

I just wanted to post my opinion on the relaunch of IPS Beyond...aka IPS Resources. I really like how the resources are all combined now with the IPS website and forums. Before things were a little confusing to people if they were new to the IPS community in having the corporate forums, AND IPS Beyond. Now everything is centralized, and more appealing. One thing I would like to see is a Resources link in the top navigation on www.invisionpower.com I think that would make things more official and bring more traffic to the new and improved resources area. I have some suggestions and question if they will be implemented: 1. Threaded and hybrid views added similar to those of vBulletin. 2. Each post to include the parent message's author in format [Re: User] (like in UBB threads) and also the parent post's number [Re: User (#X)]. 3. One column for posts like vBulletin. 4. Calendar Subscriptions--Give members the ability to be notified about new calendar events. Better yet, give them the ability to get notified about new events within a given time/date period. Give administrators the ability to cancel all of a specific member's notifications/subscriptions through the control panel. It is cumbersome for me to have to do this through SQL statements when I get bounced emails from a member who disappeared. I apologize if the above suggestions have been made already.

Hi I have tried to email this query to both addresses (sales and billing) on the Home page of IP but both emails bounced. I am looking to start up an online forum supporting prisoners protesting their innocence. Specifically I am looking for one that people who are not registered within the community cannot read or post - in fact cannot gain access to unless granted permission. I am moderating on a board at present that has been hacked. We believe that this is an ex member who as it has transpired is not as innocent as he would have us believe. As a group supporting prisoners and those coming up to trial we have to be seen as "squeaky clean" as well as only wishing …

I'm not sure why, but my forum seems to be gone. I'll explain what happened. I had just logged in to my admin control panel, when all of the sudden, my virus scanner detected a virus. (Not sure if this is related to my forum) Anyway. I took care of the virus, but when I tried to go back to my forum, I recieved a "page can not be dispayed" error. At first, I thought it could be server load. So I decided to check on things within cpanel. Guess what? When trying access cpanel, I get the same "page can not be displayed" error. 1. Implement the "recursive quote parser" that was supposed to be in 2.3 but didn't make it in. (.Logan will know what I am talking about.) 2. Rework the emoticons area. Ok, so I ordered IPB a year or 2 ago. I stopped using it and I never paid for the renewal. I came back because I want to use IPB yet I see that I don't have the license, so I pay the renewal fee from 1/29/07. Now, why have I given you your $25, ontop of the $70 I had spent when I bought it... Yet you aren't giving me access to the download, and no one will respond to my open ticket. I got my own forum with 13000 members and one of my members got 4000 posts on board and he want to delete his account forever and his posts also, I know there is option and i can do but is there any rule or agreement about this incase i don't want to delete his account or post but do Members have right for this to ask for deleting his account. Blind user will not be able to use my forum - because they won't be able to register - because they won't be able to see the characters used in the captcha system.
