I was curious if in the next version of IPB, if there could be some way that its easier to modify the RTE that doesn't so extremely impact my ACP? In order to make the flow of my site work I obviously have to edit the CSS on a lot of things and that includes editing the RTE CSS. In doing so I make it difficult to do things in the ACP. The reason for this is I have a realtively darker site and I edit the input backgrounds so they don't blare against the dark backgrounds and colors but, since the RTE CSS is standalone it adversely affects my ACP. Refresh Captcha Image Button

Well the title pretty much says it. Be nice if there was a refresh Captcha Image Button next to the Captcha Image. I hate it when I register at an IP.Board and get the info wrong and have to redo the password stuff and etc. Just be nice to have a choice to refresh image in those times where the letter L or S is confused with I or 5 :)

RSS feeds visible even if board is offline ....... I think nothing from the forum should be accessible t a visitor when board is turned off;ine. Many a times for repair and security reasons board is turned offline. So if this is visivble then the purpose of offline board is defeated.

Firstly, I'd like to say this is not a support question .... because I have already tried to resolve this issue (unsuccessfully). Could it be something changed in a future release/patch/update? Here's my feedback - Would it be possible if you could move the rte_popup.css (currently in the jscripts/folder_rte_files directory) over to the same directory as the css_colors (so that we can customize the appearance to match custom skins)? Or can you make it possible to customize those properties in each of the skins' CSS? RSS import does not work via a web proxy

Hi, When IP.Board is used in an intranet context, RSS Import will usually fail since most businesses enforce the use of a web proxy for Internet access, which also often requires user credentials. I'd love to see proxy support come with either a dot release of v2.3 or in the upcoming v3 of IPB. Ian

I was considering this and I find it easier to keep my staff blog up to date and it is also what I use the most to keep my users up to date so it would be nice to see a way to use a blog as the News "Forum" or be able to add a forum and a blog as the News locations.

Upload Profile Photo at registration

Add a feature to IP.Board to allow new registers to upload profile photo at registration. Also a radio button "Use as avatar too?" Both will be resized based on board settings. Admin can make it a required field too cut down on absentee photos/avatars. Or can add extra radio button "Skip this step>>>" for those who don't have a photo handy at time o registration.

I think it would be a quite useful feature if members can make a topic invisible to themselves. Maybe by clicking the folder icons that currently close them for admins. Maybe make that be used for invisibility for other members. I really realized how useful it potentially could be when I was looking at topics on another site and realizing that it's only natural to read each topic title if it has a "go to" icon by it and a lot of topics I know from day 1 I would not care to go into them again. Not sure if it would be useful or not. Just an idea. I haven't looked to see how read/unread for each member is even handled in itself, so I have no clue if this would be res…

Inherit permissions from parent forum/category

Every time I create subforum(s) or forum(s) within a category, I often have to set the same permissions over and over again. My forum has a lot of different permission masks, and there are a whole lot of things I need to check off. I think it would be great if setting permissions manually was optional, and there was an alternative of "inherit permissions from immidiate parent forum/category" option (or perhaps a drop down menu to chose which parent or which forum/category to inherit from). I know many people have said the PM system needs to be totally revamped, but I ahve several ideas related to the UCP. First off I think the PM area should be a whole separate area than settings. Secondly, it's not quick to find which setting you want to change for the site. So i think it should have tabs horizontally across the top. have more setting groups than currently since it is currently set up in a way where it's easy to forget which settings link goes to certain settings that could fit several. User friendliness is by far the main thing I think needs to get worked on some. Those settings groups could have names such as posting, profile, notifications, etc…

It would be very handy if there was a way to have my events on my calender filterd for easy search by my members. I would like to have one calender to show all our events and then have the option to filter them by the type of event. Also a way to have the event in a calender a topic in a forum aswell. Shane

I like how you guys, unlike forums such as Vbulletin, dont send emails for reported threads, spamming our mods mailboxes, but use the pm system. Could you guys just add an option that when used, automatically creates a pm folder in all admin and mods system that all reported post pmes go to, and does not count towards the quota? Kind of like the trash forum. Or even better, could there be like a place they go to, kind of like a cp that has all the reported post tickets and the posts awaiting activation. pm

I just wanted to add a post to say how pleased I have been with IPS service. As a charity we have been with IPS since we launched our website back in November 2005. At all times staff have dealt with concerns promptly, in a friendly and helpful manner. I would like to see the following option integrated into the default build: The option for the admin on a per forum basis to only allow people to see topics that they start in the forum. The admin should also be able to allow specific group to view all of the topics in the forum, with admins set as the default group. The option for the admin to set users posts to be moderated on a per forum basis (as in i could set user AA to be moderated in a specific forum...but nowhere else on the site)

It would be nice if there is a special rights feature for main forum admin to login as super admin, and be able to edit all aspects of a post eg when a post is open he shuld be able to edit posters name / id, post date, member title, group, ip address when post was posted, :unsure:

This might sound wierd but after heavilly participating in the Blog & Gallery topics I was thinking that it would be really cool to have an option in acp to decide which IP.Product will represent the index/home page. Right now we have IP.Portal and even it doesn't have a setting for acting as main site page even though it's named a portal. So to furthur exploit the idea... I thought it would be cool for board owners to choose which product ie Blog, Gallery, Portal or Board will act as the main page of the site. Notifications if keywords are used

Add a new group setting that allows people in that group to receive notifications via PM or email if specific keywords are used within a post. I think it might be resource intensive though, as each post and reply would be scanned for those keywords before inserting it into the database. I myself would use it to scan for keywords like forums, website, attach, etc... because I can't read every single new post made on my forums and sometimes people will make a post embedded deep within a topic saying they couldn't get x to work with the forums or something is broken.
