my members are asking how and if they can see their older posts... going to profile ans pressing search for members posts return only 200 posts...for some of my members this means 3-5 days ago... how about older? :( they ask me everyday, so I need a mod soon... how about 3.0.2...?

The question/answer feature for new registrations turns out to be much more effective than the random GD and reCaptcha on my board. However, when a guest is posting the only protection is still either disable guest posting or use the random GD code which is very vulnerable to OCR bots. Could you add the question/answer system to guest posting too?

When we are developing an app and we are getting to the point where we are ready to build all of the XML files in order to package the app for redistribution, there are several pages we have to visit to create these files. In addition, on each page we visit, typically the option we have to click to build that particular file will build a lot more than what we actually want. Consider this scenario: I am working on an application that has language strings (both admin and public), modules, CSS, skin templates, settings, and bbcodes. I think someone already asked for implement Reputation per forum and I agree. But there's another problem: I've seen several users creating another account or giving several points to other users, second after second. I think should have some kind of restriction to avoid User A from giving more than X points do User B in a predefined space of time. I know we can set maximun and minimun points per group, but this not solve the problem. Tks.

In my opinion, I love it when you click the Admin CP, and it opens a new tab for you to go in. Can you guys make it like this? Clicking Admin CP and making it go to ACP on the same page is so annoying.

I use the View New Posts function on IPB2.3 quite a bit and having the page title change to Board Message is extremely useful when searching through lots of forums. Any change of something similar happening in IPB3 for View New Content?

Just a random idea that popped into my head, but I think it would be nice for us to be able to set priorities/severities on our tickets, rather than a time-based thing. For example, I have a problem with some text missing that isn't affecting anything really, and that ticket's been open for a few hours. Just recently (a few minutes ago) I discovered that nobody can register on my board, and that ticket's obviously several hours behind in the queue, but infinitely more important, and it would be nice to be able to flag it as such so it gets attended to first.

Be nice to have an option to skip pinned topics from displaying in the portal. Just because it's pinned doesn't mean I want it to show up in the portal even months later.

My assistant feature disappeared... In the "Forum rules" you can set individual forum rules for each forum branch. It is possible to enter BBCode but not HTML code or javascript. I would need that for the purpose of serving banner ad code in the "forum rules" space. I can't find a setting in the ACP that permits this. Please advise. Cheers

I run a Colostomy support message board where patients help each other with support and advice of dealing with a colostomy, be it for a few weeks temporarily, of permanently due to cancer etc. My board also has a pretty large off topic posting community contained within it. I would very much like to be able to disable post reputation in the off-topic forums, so that reputation is based on supportive posts to users needing support in our ostomy-support forums, rather than from posting cute pics of the dog with a toy in the off topic forums. My implementation of IPB is on a corporate Intranet where it's only purpose is for users to post draft documents so that other users can comment on them. They typical scenario is that they post a new topic with no text and just an attachment and then the replies start flowing, but the "post" is a mandatory field with no option to change it. This is a bad fit for my usage scenario. In 2.x you could trick the system with a space character but that doesn't work in 3.x. I'd like an option to allow blank posts when there are attachments present. For the time being, I'll try to implement this myself by hacking the source code because I need it to work right now.

Hello, I suggest the admin can set the portal offline visitable group like the other apps(blog, gallery, downloads). Some users like me use the portal as the news and homepage, so we need to show the news even if the board is offline. This function was available before 2.2.x I remember. But later it was gone. Thanks.

I'm quite fond of the hooks. I just found out about them this morning! I very much look forward to seeing more hooks beingn developped. A chat would be nice. I tried parachat last year and for some reason, I was no satisfied. A chat that would be positioned in the right margin of the forum front page would be awesome. I am sleep deprived and having to muck around with the CSS wasn't a cakewalk, but do-able. The forum looks good, and I'm thrilled with the prospects of keeping up with SMF with the hooks. I look forward to being able to embed YouTube in posts, like SMF!
