I started a hosted account today and submitted a ticket for DNS changes and some other questions. Mark H. responded quickly, professionally, and was most helpful in presenting the options and solving my problems. Is there a quota or limit on how many likes i.e positive points a member can give in a particular day? If there is a daily limit, is there a place where I can specify how many points a member can give in particular day. or is this some error/bug issue Thanks

I think you should have an option where you can turn live forums off and on. What I mean by live is similar to YouTube videos now having live comments that are automatically added as they are posted. Well the same thing but with posts that would be added so that while your in quick reply or something and somebody posts something you can see it without having to refresh.

I posted about view new content on the homepage which Marcher Technologies kindly answered with a mod but I can't now find it all. I have searched my content to no avail. Anyone else seeing their posts disapear? I sure it wouldn't have been deleted as it was a standard support type post

At the moment I am working on the Dutch translation of IP board but I am running into some snags. The biggest problem is the 'Out of Date Entries'. I have a translation with over 500 'Out of Date Entries' and I have to erase them all by hand. That means pressing the 'outdated strings' button, delete a single string and press OK, 500 times. That makes 1500 mouse-clicks!! Can you please make it a little easier for us translators? :wink: Kind regards, Michel

Please could the time for guests be improved. Currently the time shown to guests takes no account of BST/DST - and so they are always shown the time as being an hour slow. In fact they are shown as an hour behind the server time, which surely is wrong. Members have to remember to adjust their time in their settings. Surely the time for all should be as set by the admin otherwise the admin just get's moans that the site time is an hour slow.

After upgrading from 2.3.6 to 3.2 my page views are down 6 fold and bounce rate up from 15% to about 65%. Is this normal? I am considering downgrading back to 2.3.6. I can not cover my server costs with numbers like that.

I'm just running the Resynchronise Topics option in the AdminCP and its got to over 8000 so far and is continuing. So I thought I would check and see how many I topics my board has but it doesn't show on the board index or in the AdminCP home page. Isn't this a useful statistic bearing in mind both the board index and AdminCP show the number of posts and members? Many thanks.

Could we have this setting moved from initdata.php to conf_global.php? initdata.php tends to get overwritten on upgrades whereas the default conf_global.php has a different name to avoid such a mistake.

Per Aisha: Please add the ability to search deleted content (ability to search deleted posts/topics by member would be ideal). My own suggestion: Add a tick box next to each deleted topic/post and add "Delete Checked" and "Restore Checked" options at the bottom along with a disclaimer that all content deleted in this manner cannot be recovered. Also, please give search results the same functionality for easier management.

Well, I do not know if it's the right area, but ... 've abused this site, takes advantage of hooks nulleds uses ipboard nulled, finally, 100% nulled. I already reported to IPS, but it is taking too long, was already a month .. a good time to back, then decided to post here, I'm sorry if I did something wrong. Forum: ***removed*** Unfortunately they also have no IPBoard License.

A few months ago, I came here very carefully, after being with vbulletin for many many years and many many forums, to make a test of the product + company by converting one of my small forums to IPB. I had a great experience then with the staff that was surprisingly helpful comparing to "what I was used to". So after that successful experiment, I decided to make a big move and plan the conversion of my largest and most customized site to IPB also. Probably not a "bug" per se, but I wanted to report it. Currently my forum is overrun with little "Queued" icons on the main forum listing page. These forums don't contain queued posts though, they contain "unapproved" and "deleted" posts - mainly from spammers and other similar situations. So how about separating queued, from unapproved / deleted? I hate to see these icons all over the forum listing just because every forum contains spam / deleted posts.

In IPB 3.2.x Facebook like button is hided under Facebook Share button. Demo, click that Facebook icon in bottom of this topic. I know you wanted to save space, but IMO, hiding Like button is bad choise. Example, if random user comes to board and likes some topic he found via Google or something, he doesnt see Like/recommend icon anywhere. If you look for Like button, you dont hit Share button. I fear i loose some FB-Likes because of this new design. If you dont know IPB, you cant know that Like button is hided under share icon. And btw, that feature only works partially now. I'd like to see the Editor Auto Save function implemented in the browser and not involve the server at all (of course, detecting new replies would still involve a server hit). HTML 5 browsers have databases that can be allocated to a domain's use. I'd like to see the Auto Save feature just save changes to the local database to be reloaded if into the editor when the editor loads (if the database text hadn't been submitted successfully - the server can clear the local database after the post has been successful by creating appropriate JS for the next page load).
