Owdy
In IPB 3.2.x Facebook like button is hided under Facebook Share button. Demo, click that Facebook icon in bottom of this topic. I know you wanted to save space, but IMO, hiding Like button is bad choise. Example, if random user comes to board and likes some topic he found via Google or something, he doesnt see Like/recommend icon anywhere. If you look for Like button, you dont hit Share button. I fear i loose some FB-Likes because of this new design. If you dont know IPB, you cant know that Like button is hided under share icon. And btw, that feature only works partially now. If Facebook connect isnt active, you dont see Like button at all at the moment because of unfixed bug.
AlexJ
I agree. I never understood why it's done like that. I personally like how xenforo has done. Plain and simple and easy to use!
Rhett
I don't follow you and what your saying... it's a share link.. it allows you to share the link... Is anyone else confused on what he is talking about?

Is anyone else confused on what he is talking about? Facebook "Like" and "Share" are different functions. IPB has merged them into one. This is like button: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/ Share button is bottom of this topic.
Management Charles Posted August 11, 2011 Management Share Posted August 11, 2011 We thought it more organize to have all social sharing features in the share strip rather than dotted about the page.

.time
Facebook is phasing out the Share button from what I understand, it'd be best to just replace the Share button with a like button.

Exactly my point... this board only uses the share feature... if you want a "Like" feature, then look for or make a hook for it. :)

[img] [/img] That Like button should not be buried inside the Share button pop-up, is what the OP is getting at, and I agree.
