I've always thought this site was a lot harder to read than the 3.4 series. I guess I gave up on it being reverting back to the easier way that it was. It seems every feature that was removed we're told no one wanted it, give me a good reason why we should keep it... I just upgraded today and people are complaining that it is too hard to tell one post from another. How can I help them and make it more distinguished between posts? Ideally every other post would be shaded, I'll settle for a faint line / bar between posts. Thanks

Mentions aren't working on my recently upgraded site. It's a stock site with no add ons. It works here, but not on my site. The background processes are still working, will that resolve it?

I uploaded the Table folder to /applications/core/interface/ckeditor/ckeditor/plugins It shows up in the Plugin to Install list, but I get this error after selecting it and clicking save: Do I need to do something else? Thanks

How do I moderate comments on articles? Obviously I could just open them one by one, but what if I have thousands of articles and somebody decides to post spam in a two year old one? Is there a way to view them all in one place and in chronological order? @Matt

I may be missing a really obvious setting here but have been unable to find it so far. I would like to change the "Forums" application title to "Discuss" In v3.4.7 you could change the application title and it would change the navigation menu to suit. Do I have to create a new tab and link it to the forums application? Seems like there should be a setting for this. An example of this is on This site. "Downloads" should really be "Marketplace" (This may be intentional but it demonstrates what I'm after.)

So I did a upgrade with RC3...It actually went fairly well.(Previously I only did fresh installs and worked with others who had converted their forums to it) I can see the forum and login via ACP where it is rebuilding all the stuff(this is taking ages tbh). Weird thing I notice....Anytime I click a link for my site on IPB4 it's simply redirect me back to my live board on 3.4.7 saying there is an error. Example: If I click a users name, it'll just send me back to the IPb3.4.7 live version of my site. Is this because it is still trying to rebuild everything? Or something else? I Can see the IPB4 version...I can even login ACP but I cant actually do anything else with it pr…

Recently I started to use the Share Post option more often, but I don't find it very comfortable to manually select the whole link every time. Would it be possible to add some sort of auto-select to the whole link, when one clicks into that textfield? It is only a small issue, but for those who use the Share Post option more often, I guess it would be quite helpful. Of course this suggestion is not restricted to the Forum application only. Wherever you can share something and IPS 4 presents a link to the content, I'd prefer to have this link auto-selected. (Btw: Is this the right place to post suggestions for IPS 4? If not, please move.)

Hi there We have just upgrade to IP.4 and have a couple of questions around friends, followers and image privacy. Am I correct in thinking that friends have been removed as a feature?The hearest feature looks like followers - does a follower get approved by a member (like Facebook) or not (like Twitter).In relation to the above, how does a user control the privacy of their content and images. Previously, a lot of our users would create galleries that can be viewed by their 'approved friends' only which is exactly how it should be. There doesn't appear to be a way to set the privacy on an image or album. Private or public is way too broad and not useful for the user.If any…

In IPB 3.4 we can change the default "Sort By". Here in IPS4, for example the default sorte of Q&A topics is rate and we cannot change it. I need to change it as a request of the users of my site.

I can tell some of you were former vBulletin customers. Most of the features you guys are whining about are so minor that its a joke. How about give IPB the chance to develop the software. I am sure they would love your feedback, but deal with the fact that they are trying to get the core as stable as possible now. Also, people will be developing add-on features for the software. Trust me if it is important to you it will probably be important to one of the developers. Get a grip people! Sheesh!

I'm developing for the new IPB4 forums on a community I'm part of, and I've noticed that the raw value of a custom profile field marked as URL already comes with the <a href="... tags. Why would you add that to a RAW value? It stops being RAW if it doesn't come as it is right from the database. That's the point of raw values. is there some kind of {{$value|raw|rawest}} for it to give me just the URL?

As the titles suggests, will missing 3.4.7 core features be returning in 4.0? Examples of these are as follows. There's a bug in the AdminCP notifications page where you can select "Notification" or "Email" but can't select neither of them. I submitted a bug report, but I need this fixed quick because people on my forum are receiving tons of notifications for every single thing. Is there a script or an addon to automatically unselect all the options on a page?
