You would need to install them by uploading the files to your server and then going to ACP -> System -> Applications to run the installer. The guide below is regarding the previous license terms where you could purchase individual ones but the process is still the same to install them.

nigeld27 reacted to Randy Calvert in Introducing Courses
Users don’t create courses. Admins (from the ACP) do. Users take the courses based on what permissions they have.
There is no pre-created courses. You define them yourself and it’s content in the ACP. Take look at:

nigeld27 got a reaction from Jim M in Zapier Error: 3S291/2
Hi Daniel,
I thought Member ID = their email address. I've just gone into the Invision members area and cannot see Member ID fields.
If you are not in front of your computer, this is not super urgent. Perhaps neither of us should be working on Saturday!
Thanks,
Nigel
That worked. I did not know that there was a difference between email address and ID.
Thanks @Daniel F, @Jim M and @Marc Stridgen.

I don't do custom development, so please don't suggest me.

We hope to provide a preview pretty soon. For our first release we are going to keep this pretty simple and then get feedback from clients on how you want it to evolve.

You would need custom development for that. However based on what you are saying there, you may find this topic of interest 😉

nigeld27 reacted to Charles in Courses and Lessons
We are currently in the beginning stages of developing a Courses and Lessons application within Invision Community. This will only be available on our cloud services as a value addition.
We receive regular requests for Learning Management System (LMS) capabilities in Invision Community and the Courses app will start us down that path.
The Courses app is not going to try to be a full LMS. Not trying to run a university here 🙂
But we do think there is value in offering basic LMS capabilities within a community context. Some features we are already doing:
Ability to create Courses with multiple Modules Modules can have multiple content items that a member can read/engage (articles, videos, discussions) Courses can be made optional or required. Required courses can be defined as "do this first" or literally required as in you must take course within X days of joining community. Badges/points awarded on various completion events. Reports for those who enroll and/or complete a Course. Reports can be exported to CSV. As this is early development we are open to ideas and suggestions.
How might you use Courses?
What capabilities would you want to see?

Have you looked at calendly? I think that I've seen that few clients are using it.
It's probably easier and faster to implement something already existing into IPS than to create it from scratch.

nigeld27 reacted to opentype in Selling Workshops/Training from the Invision Store
Yeah, linking or embedding a third-party solution is probably better. Invision Community has nothing to accommodate such events currently. I am currently using Pretix for online events and conferences, but of course there are many many providers from all around the world.

Hi All,
I can't remember if I submitted this suggestion before, but I would like a Zapier action that allows me to add/change a Secondary Group on a user.

Hi Nigel.
As Marc said please start a ticket or alternately you can contact sales (https://invisioncommunity.com/contact-us) and we will be happy to answer your questions.

nigeld27 reacted to Marc Stridgen in Security Information about Invision
If you have any specific questions, you can create a ticket if needed from your client area. But generally, what you are asking is quite a broad question. What information are you looking to provide them with?
