I'm working on a plugin to give more power to the club owner on front-end:

1 - You can add a specific or all members from a group as MEMBERS in the club:

2 - You can change the club ownership:

3 - Change the club type:

@Morrigan, I'll try to add this:

    Any other suggestion?

I asked a very similar question on the 4.2 test site.  The response was Pages is a very different animal and will take more work to do.  IPS wants a chance to see how people use clubs and how pages can best be implemented to support it.
I've said it before elsewhere...  there is a TON of potential for clubs, especially once pages are incorporated.

There is Always possible here to see members most Reputation by a selective time duration. I Really hoped for 4.2, Top Members section show us a time duration menu, at least a closed option in ACP so Admin could chose duration rather than "All Time" only.
Leaderboard is a great feature and growing even better by these enhancements. but it's more focused on Reputation points rather than Contents creating ... event ranking people in leaderboard section itself, could be based on content creating, by user or admin side.

We should be able to exclude groups or users. The founder of a forum, for example, will probably have more reputation than another admin and maybe he doesn't want to appear in the leaderboard.
One example here on IPS is the IPS NEWS account! There's no sense in display it there: https://invisionpower.com/topmembers/

Yes, this has been an option for some time - it was in 3.x as well, if I recall.

Yes. So if you allow Facebook log ins, then they will have to complete any required steps before they can access the community.

I like this, but to take it a step further....I would like to see an option to return members to lower groups if they don't maintain a certain level of activity.
    example..
In order to remain in "Group X" you must have 25 posts over the last 12 month, otherwise you go back to "Group Y"
This would keep up forum activity, rather than just having a member do a one time burst of creating topics and replies.

Groups, with permission, can still see Display Name History on the front-end on profiles. That particular area will only show name changes, however - not all of the other data. What that sentence means is just that the underlying system to store those changes has been moved over from it's own system, to this one, for consistency.
The same applies to Commerce customer history - there is no longer an independent system to store information on transactions, support requests, etc. That has all been migrated to this new central system, though the relevant data will still display on the Commerce customer information page.

This would seem a logical way to organise the Clubs. You have to have good organisation for some communities. For example, you might have a category/group of TV Show-related Clubs, one for Food-related Clubs, one for Car-related Clubs.
Infact, although I do have some concerns about my particular community becoming even more off-topic and fragmented than it is now, I'd suggest the ability to have as many categories and sub-categories as some communities may need, is quite important.
So for good organisation of Clubs, to keep them easy to navigate for visitors, you could have say, a parent category/group of Car Clubs with GM, Lamborghini, Masarati Clubs etc, another parent category for Motorcycle Clubs, but this time with a sub/child categories for Modern Superbikes-related Clubs, itself containing further sub-categories of Honda Clubs, Suzuki Clubs, Ducati Clubs etc.
The Motorcycle Clubs category might also contain another sub-category of Classic and Vintage Motorbike Clubs which contains a further sub-category of BSA Clubs, Triumph Clubs, and Indian Clubs etc.
You might then have a parent category of Sports related Clubs, with say Football Clubs by team, Baseball Clubs by team, Basketball Clubs by team etc.
If you had the option for as many as you need for logical organisation and re-ordering as with Forums now, you'd have that flexibility and future proofing to make them all part of another category in the future, or add further sub-categories, again as with drag and drop reordering of Forums now.

I'll elaborate on Instagram a bit. There is no direct API to talk to Instagram. Most social media software, like Buffer and Hootsuite uses a phone app to push the photo to Instagram as if it was selecting a photo from the camera roll and stores any text you wanted to add in the phone's clipboard so you can paste it in.
I doubt Instagram will open up an API as they seem keen to keep it within the mobile space only.
Not at this time, I think in many ways it's OK to keep those comments on the social media channels. Mixing them in may be confusing.

So what do you think your members will use Clubs for? Some of my members like to discuss favourite TV shows in a single long running topic, so I think they may like to set up say a Walking Dead Club. I could then move all of the existing Walking Dead topics into it, to get things started.
I can see how some might be confused with the concept. I always imagined social groups would be used on my main community for say a group of members who work on special projects like writing Virtual Seasons or or other creative projects like putting on some community event like at Halloween. Without a 'wall' as such, it makes me think Clubs are a bit like a group Blog (but with topics and Gallery images if you have those modules) or possibly a dedicated hidden team forum for specific members to view it, but Clubs seem a much better implementation.

It's fully temptable, so I'm guessing one of our excellent theme designers will play with it.

That's certainly possible. If I may suggest, though, that turning your Facebook page into an "RSS-like feed" is probably not the best approach, but you may have a good specific case for this.
I'm looking to create a few on best practises for Facebook and Twitter in terms of maximising organic reach, and to give guidance on what works and what does not.

A "premium" Club where you have to pay for access is an interesting idea
