I have fixed this in 3.1.9. Only moderators that can actually delete content, or only Member Map markers, can delete other member's markers. And I've added a new member group setting for deleting own markers.

Yes, if i add an Author, the error disappears.

I have some fixes underway regarding capitalization, special characters, and paging on the Manage Tags section. Not quite ready for release yet, and I've run into a couple more core bugs in the process. Regardless, I expect that'll be ready within a couple weeks.
I'll be traveling in the coming week (4/1-4/7) for business. I probably won't be available for application support during that time.

That is correct. I can add a setting for this in Member Map is needed.
It'll sync as soon as the profile is saved. If you're wondering about the import feature, that will run once a day if "Import members without a map marker?" is enabled, and will process 100 members per cycle.

I will not be changing the layout of the application. So far I've had at least 4 requests for layout changes, all completely different from each other. There is no way for me to make everyone happy. You are free to customize the layout any way you choose. Templates can be found with all other IPS templates, under feed -> front -> feed.

About This File
This plugin will allow users to choose groups in register form during registration process OR on Account Settings, if their groups are allowed to. Admin will set up which groups will be available in registration screen/account settings.

IMPORTANT NOTICES:
The registration group/change of group on Account Settings will not be saved IF any attempt of exploit (try to change the Group ID) is detected. An error message will be displayed instead. It is designed to work ONLY on default IPS 4.X registration screen. It doesn't support social network registration (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) Compatible with Commerce, UNLESS you use the setting Move customer into group on a product/package in registration screen. In this case, the group chosen on Commerce will OVERRIDE the group chosen by the user in this plugin. Pay attention to this item! Upgrade authorized by @Pete T.

Okay, I was finally able to take a look at it is not a bug with the plugin but with the 4.1.19 version itself. Because of a bug some hooks are not loading/working as expected.
 
Download the "system/Theme/Theme.php" patch from the release notes page and upload it to your server, after that the hook (and any others) will start working properly:
While you're at it you might want to install the other 4 patched files too, thought I think IPS is going to release a new 4.1.19.1 version soon to include all of those.
 

IPS support might do it via a support ticket but other than you'll have to wait until the core fix is released as part of 4.1.19.1.

Thanks for the work you do, Ryan. I was more than happy to pay for the IPS 4 version of this app.

"Ryan himself runs 3.4.x" -- referring to Zybez? I don't own that site; I just administrate it. Anyway, we haven't upgraded because there's no budget for the hundreds of hours that would go into recreating all of our custom functionality for 4.x. Not because 4.x is more complex or we're incapable of working with it. I wish we could upgrade; it just doesn't make sense for our situation.
I'm not going to go on arguing the point with you, because frankly I don't care if you purchase again or not. It's there if you want it, and it does what it's supposed to (better, actually, than the 3.x version did). You're free to think what you want. I made my decision, and I stand by it and this application.

Expected so, but clearly not. I'll look into that case.

It was supported with free upgrades through the major release (3.x), all the way from 3.1 to 3.4. I don't have the license terms for that old version handy right now, but that's the policy I've always followed. IPS 4 is a completely different software package and architecture from IPB 3, requiring a complete rewrite and completely different code. You'll find the same policy is true for almost every other resource/application on the marketplace.

I think I got the point, guys... not working with 4.1.19. It was just released 21 hours ago. A little patience please.
From what @Meddysong says, this is being caused by a bug in 4.1.19. You'll either need to upload the patch file given here to fix it, or wait for 4.1.19.1. Thanks Meddysong.
 

There's a known fault in 4.1.19 which is causing problems with some plugins, so there's nothing Ryan can do. You either need to apply the patch or wait for 4.1.19.1.
 

That's a lot of new accounts posting in a short space of time... wow.

I'll try to take a look at the problem this weekend. I haven't had a change to check 4.1.19 yet and I'll be busy for the next couple of days.
