Ah, sorry I misunderstood what you had said there.
The reason for this is that you have a plugin named "Disable ads for URLs" and you are actually specifying /discover/unread/ as one of those URLs.

Unfortunately, we no longer support that version of the product. There are many who do provide assistance with this that you can find in the providers section if needed however. The issue you have is that there is a problem with the character set somewhere prior to you upgrading, so it cannot be corrected after the upgrade.

There is no other way other than to revert your backup unfortunately. There is an issue with the encoding of your database before its began. Likely that the data was not in UTF8 format 

But it's already possible. Modify the "Title" field as follows:
Set the default value to be a space (that's important...very important!!!) or anything else of your choice...but it must be something. Edit the permissions of the field - remove the "edit field content" and "add content to field" permission from the groups from whom you wish the title to be hidden. Ta-da!!!

It seems that every line of code is for the Cloud version. I've been using the self hosted version since 2017 and I feel pretty stupid looking for features on my forum, until I realized that these are not for self hosted (live topics, etc).  
Honestly the Cloud prices are not for my budget, it's a pitty since I really like the software but I'm not going to pay for a cloud based product, you can get Adobe Suite with cloud storage for a fraction of the Invision Cloud package. Dean_ is right, self hosted is going to dissapear, good luck invision.

Anyway, development stopped when I first hear about the IPS app a couple of months ago or so. Due to a current rule for marketplace submissions, we cannot recreate things added by IPS. I imagine that something that was built to add value to their cloud’s packages would be definitely not acceptable so I didn’t even try to talk to them via Contact form, as Matt already said a couple of times. Matt also said that they will rewrite the marketplace submissions rules, so up till there, I won’t do anything.

Can you tell if there are any plans on making the Courses app available for self-hosted installations? And also the Email Bounce Management for Sendgrid users?

The Courses app will not be available to self-hosted customers.
You can not purchase to the creator pro package in order to gain access to the courses app on your current self-hosted setup. You would then need to migrate your community over to the cloud.
Only customers that have one of their cloud packages can post comments in blog posts and news entries related to cloud-only features.

If you are not a Cloud customer then yes - it's normal.

Marc, I have been asking for you guys to change this for years now, I have suggested that when on a localhost these options should be disabled by default.
Sometimes when you copy a live site over to a localhost environment, you can forget to turn these options off. The last time, this caused me a lot of issues, with a few members accusing me of trying to rip them off because of the double payments.
 

Would it be better to have a Class Thread, similar to Cloud Discussion? I'm asking because certain topics are exclusive to that group and when mixed with Classic, it seems like there's a hierarchy where Cloud is given more attention and Classic is neglected. Even from a business perspective, I understand that coding is faster in Cloud.

I don't think it is fair to blame only the customer. Ranks has been an important feature since the dawn of IPB and when an upgrade stopped it functioning as expected we could have been notified and explained what to do.
I might be stupid, but despite reading the documentation and starting this thread, I still don't see how to get ranks working as before.
Number of posts rebuild is now finished and that seems to have corrected the problem with counting posts that should not have been counted. But I expect it will be building up again.
Still many members have a better rank that their number of posts should have given them.

Maybe "issue" is the wrong word, but we find it a problem when a crucial functionality, that we have been using since 2004, is not working the same anymore.
Same that searching for "rebuild" does not find the rebuild options.
Awaiting the outcome of rebuilding, running for 4 days now.

Please add a forum index data-pagecontroller=""  for each view;  traditional, fluid, etc. This way we can target elements on the page with CSS specific to that view. Currently all views are data-pagecontroller="index"

Could you please rephrase what you mean here? If a third party developer is running maintenance before updating, you would need to work with them to resolve it. That would be outside our scope of support. However, I am unsure if this is what you mean here as it feels like there may be a language barrier. 

We would not be able to fix a table corruption caused by a server migration. That would be for your hosting provider to resolve or restore a backup from before the migration was attempted.

But then they increase management cost, support costs, more separate vendors to deal with… 
Not to mention now needing two separate WAFs. 

There is a lot to be said for a single throat to choke. 🙂 

Also at the enterprise level, they don’t pay what is listed on the website. I know for a fact that lower prices are available based on overall spend. 

You would indeed require a classic license in order to download locally for development. 

It sounds like you have corruption in your mySQL database,  You might want to use a tool like phpMyAdmin to check and repair those tables.  

Unfortunately, this is a PHP 8 compatibility issue somewhere with custom code. Somewhere whether it is out of date core template or otherwise. The only way for you to fix it would be to find it and revert the template or resolve the error.
