Support module is accessible only via Admin CP so you need to give access to people who you want to use it. You can use ACP restrictions and allow access only to Support ACP area.
 

I m quiting IPB. They are acting like beggars now.

so if my license expires in a week, and i just paid renewal of marketplace items for another half / full year
that means I only have access to them for a week? this on top of 20% commission you're charging developer while also require active license just to have access to marketplace
for real?

Not sure if it's supposed to act like this but it shows files in subcategories. But, when going into a subcategory that has it's own subcategories it doesn't show those.

Common IPS! The Download App need some love. It's basically been the same since I started using IPS, back when it was IPB. A few suggestions for you.
1) In pretty much every section across the board users can choose to show content in a grid or list. We need this for Downloads. The download section look horrible to be honest, outdated and dificult to see enough of what's new without having to scroll through an annoying horizontal list. Showing items in a grid is pretty much a standard across your differennt apps and the Download App needs the same functions to co-exist with the rest of the board. At least a widget where we can choose how to show the content.
2) With all the features in IPS 4.3, more specifically the subscription feature, I would love to see it tied in more to downloads. I'm thiunking about more restrictions like max file upload size. It would be great if we can have normal members only upload a file size of (for example) 1G at a time. Then you can subscribe and be moved to "Gold Member" where you can upload 2G file sizes, and then "Diamond Member" where you can upload 5G file sizes and so on.
3) Ability to choose where extra fields are shows. Sidebar, above or below the information box.
Like I said, Downloads App have gotten NO love for years. And some of us use your software for for the Downloads. It's time to show it some love, don't let it fall behind. To be honest, the only reason I still use IPS as my software is because of the excellent Amazonn S3 integration. Like said above, it looks horrible, got next to no features or settings and is always left out when new updates and features are introduced.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but the peoples faces are not showing in the header. Is it tied to specific content?

Any cjance of this app adding support for chunked uploads or is that to difficult to implement in a app/plugin?

Agree with this.
For now I'm using this plugin. It shows all files in subcategories when browsing main categories. It also lists all subcategories above the file list. However, Download app need am overhaul and options to show files in a better way. Especially now when pretty much the entire suit has been changed to support grid view.
 

1. I would also like to see #1 or other improved layouts for the index page as a cosmetic refresh.  The downloads index is not bad, but when you have a lot of files it becomes visually busy.  
In terms of the UIX, my biggest pain point is actually the category tree.  I really, really don't like how it's relative to the current category.  I have a large and elaborate category structure tree with 6 major categories, each with 26 (or more) sub-categories and navigating around requires a lot of clicks and page refreshes.  

4.3 is in beta, i don't support the beta releases.

2. No, you should use featured image for it. (Or I will back home tonight and let you know a solution that uses custom field)

If you leave the uploading form blank, it will use Youtube Thumb. Else, it will prioritizeu uploaded thumb.

I had a plugin disabled but that wasn't good enough. I needed to uninstall the plug in and it got this fixed. Thank you

i should add, why it wasn't working  when i cut up the downloads template from 4.1, i broke the template up into a few templates for easier management, when i upgrade them, i either didn't update the one that contained these or didn't save the template not sure which (i tend to do template stuff late at night, usually long after i should've went to bed). 

probably this weekend, had a 4.2 upgrade that is being a pain (all theme issues or perceived theme issues). 
yeah it is caused by the same reason why the "report" and "reactions" aren't showing up. I have it fixed in 2.1

Thanks for quick reply. Going to skip this though, I don't use articles and my homepage is focused purely on downloads. I only know minimal edits, mostly small html codes that some themes require in for example footer and such.

that shouldn't be too hard to do, it might not be in the next version (where i'm adding several things from here). but i can certainly look at it and see which is the best way to approach it afterwards .
