Are using a prefix for your database ? If yes, I have found a bug related to this, and it's the one causing this with Redis no matter what version. IPS staff said that it will be fixed with the up coming release which I hope they do it before.

Not working? Be more specific about what is not working.
And also, ensure that your hosting provides the necessary support for webp:

Yes, layer shifting still happens without specifing the size, that's why you should always specify the size. But layer shift is a whole different story. 😉
However even without specifications, it would still gain a big performance boost because the important content can be loaded before images are starting to show up.
Which is the main purpose of lazy loading.
On top of that, the current system blocks the entire text to be loaded when scrolling, which is most likely the worst case scenario for a forum.

Test it and see it for yourself.
It's technically not possible to make it slower, that's not how any of this works.
You don't want to enable lazy load in every case, critical images should be loaded directly of course, but that's basically not existant in a topic and/or post.

Lazy loading reduces initial load time due to reduced page weight, which is one of the most important things for a website.
It's also a bandwith conservation as it only loads content on request.
And a system resource conservation, as it conserves both server and client resources.
Which is similiar to what we have right now, but WITHOUT the mentioned drawbacks in my original post.
As long as you're not running it on Netscape with a last century potato on dial up that doesn't support lazy loading of course.

No, not yet. A lot going on, sorry. To be honest a lot of bugs IPS could verify for themselves, creating tickets for bugs is so time consuming for both parties so I try to limit to priority issues.

This is actually a bug that's fixed in 4.2.3, they should be displaying a letter photo instead.
p.s. support issues and bug reports should be submitted via a ticket in the client area.

    Hi,
I really appreciated that as of IPS 4.2.2 broken member photos are replaced with the name of the user, improving the aesthetics of our community. However, on these cases, on the member's hover card, the image is still shown as a broken broken image.
This is probably a small issue that you guys want to fix in the next release.
    See screenshots below.
    Thank you in advance.

    Gabriel.

Please, please, point them at this discussion and request that they actually read it - because the moment you mention this application, they will switch to "3rd party issue" mode.

    Thanks for looking.
Here is what i found on my Mac:
    Chrome: Just a link
    Firefox: Player with Sound
    Safari: Work as expected.
And yes, it is the same with the app disabled. I'll contact IPB Support to see if they can sort this.
    Thank you,
    Steve

Right, so it's not an issue with my application - the same thing happens with the native IPS functionality (test it yourself - disable the application in your app listing, and then go back and view the post in Firefox and Chrome - see below)
However, totally unrelated - I have spotted an issue with my application, whereby it is loading an incorrect Javascript file and not the "full bells and whistles" one I actually developed for this application. So there will be an update coming soon anyway. Scratch that - forgot about the flipping back to the backend stuff I did. No update due.

Thanks Matt, as I understand it then, clearing the Redis cache in this manner would effectively mean the Redis cache size should visibly increase, since the existing data isn't purged, it could potentially double in size. Depending on the size of the cache and how full it is prior to clearing, it should be very noticeable. However it stays the same according to the Dashboard.
Monitoring it live in real-time with Netdata, it should show a sudden influx of new keys, but I don't think I've seen that. I'll have to check again to be sure, but certainly the Redis data size in AdminCP stays the same, it should at least change which confused me.

Did you ever manage to figure this out, and if so, is it possible you can explain how?

Is it possible you could also list which plugins you used to achieve this?

Is there any official word that 4.5 may feature "wiki" style editing"?

I would love to set up a Wiki Style setup on my forum as well.

    Thank you Hunter.

In general: Yes. You would create a new Record Display template and modify it.
Showing the recent contributors is not directly possible though. I wish that were a stock feature as well when the Wiki functionality is turned on.

So I've managed to use a number of Marketplace plugins to get a Pages database to behave essentially like a wiki.
But I wanted to edit the template to look more like a wiki. Specifically, I want to move the author tag and reword it.
So instead of "By Jane Doe on x y z" at the top left, I would have "Last edited by Jane Doe on x y z" at the bottom.
Less focus on the author, and also emphasizing that it was an edit, not a post (as I have wiki-style editing enabled.)
How could I achieve this? A custom Pages template? Is there a plugin for it? etc.
My wiki on my site can be seen here: https://argogaming.org/wiki
