    That's not directly related to clubs but yes this is fixed too in 4.5 🙂

    The content share links work the same as they do now by linking to specific content items but the difference is referrals will now be tracked when people follow the links.

    You can then also add the share block to any page as a block. When using the block the link will be to the default homepage of your community.

    Helen and I recently had this discussion for her new site too. In the end we went with the old school forums. Everything else seemed wishy-washy. There is still a "community" but forums is a focussed part of that and I think it lends a seriousness to the section. Memes are fine and still posted but we don't want to lose the serious long-lasting discussion, Facebook can keep the noise. It's tempting to move with the latest fads and terminology but ultimately it's all about the content and if it is valuable to your users. The terminology is secondary.

    It will show up to the latest 4 entries in Our Picks. They are ordered with the most recent first. I tend to agree some variety would be better so have suggested this for a future version.

    It was all my idea and don't let @Charles tell you otherwise.

    New feature ideas come from lots of different sources. Primarily features are added based on direct customer feedback but some come from staff members and some like you say are just "common sense".

    This will not work for the Russian language. 

     

    For example, you have 368 downloads and 123456 vies of something. 

     

    In this case, you will have to translate 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 views and downloads into Russian and then repeat translation according to the last digit in the number of views or downloads.

     

    We will discuss this during our next development call.

  8. With member profiles, with it be easier to add in clickable link type custom profile fields?

     

    Example, right now if I have a profile field for a members PSN ID or XBOX Gamer Tag, I have to go through and make custom edits to add in the base URL and to make it a link in the profile.  

     

    There is a much greater selection of form fields in IPS4. One of which is a dedicated URL field that auto links.

  9. Thats my point Andy, i am the one who would only have permission to edit then i am stuck seeing that button taking up space in the interface - it should be tucked up under a menu and not sitting there all the time. 

     

    Oh, I misunderstood. I see what you mean now although in use it really does disappear into the background and isn't too obtrusive. This is something we can evaluate further based on feedback during testing.

    That woulod be awesome but they've already stated that the sidebar is supported per-app and not per-area unfortunately :sad:

     

    It is customizable per area in that you can show a different configuration on the forum index, when viewing a forum or when viewing a topic etc. you cannot however show one set of blocks when viewing topic a and another when viewing topic b. This could in theory be expanded in a future version to support that level of control however.

  11. if I am the admin and only one able to "edit" the global side bar, i really wouldn't want that "EDIT" button sitting there all the time taking up space.

     

    There should be a toggle option to edit the global sidebar from the ACP menu drop down to show/hide the edit sidebar option. 

     

    The edit button only shows to those with permission to edit.

  12. If the updated template bits have customisations in your skin then yes you will need to merge in those changes. In other words unless you've edited the specific template bit, it should be updated automatically.
