i don't like it either and I really don't use it. Users from my board also dislike it.
Anyway, you can mimic the VNC by creating a new stream with the following setting:

It will show:

Then you set this stream as the default.
This is the closest you will get of VNC.

Thats great. For me I would like the plugin to work as it is intended today. So the routine on our board will be:
After we promote a post to article and the article is fine (we split it into Ingress - and article - and add frontcoverphoto and gpx routes)
Then we manually delete all content in the forumpost and just add a link.
90% of our articles are first made in closed forums (draughts) - with only admin/user axcess anyway - so theres no need to automatically delete anything (my 2 cents)

Just a suggestion. Make an Activity Stream of the actual Tag - and use RSS to feed it by email. Should be possible....

For the next update in the Advertisements Section, Would it be possible to add the forums that you would like the ads to be shown in? Some people might get sponsors for specific subforms...should be a simple add on. Default can be all forum, and then you can select which forums, like in the announcements dropdown.

Problemet her er at samme tekst brukes uavhengig av om man starter en ny tråd eller redigerer den. Må evt. bytte til en tekst som gir mening i begge kontekstene eller få IPS til å lage en egen tekst som brukes ved redigering.

Jeg fant ut av det problemet som nevnt over her. Om noen av dere skulle komme borti det samme - så oppstår problemet kun når man har Engelsk som språk i ACP og norsk ellers. 

Planen er å oppdatere språkpakken, men jeg har ikke lenger mulighet til å oversette Gallery og Downloads. Jeg er dog nedlesset i andre oppgaver, men håper å kanskje få det gjort til helgen.

Will add this to new features list, maybe adding a setting will be nice to disable it.
That will be added maybe on the next update as it was requested long time ago.
Will have a look and see what i can do about the translatable title, for the other i think you gave me some ideas & will look much nicer.

If you have a large board, that would be the option you should pick...

I have been using that one on 3.4.8 version with 95K members and 1.2 million posts... I hided the option for guests...

I just installed it and it worked very well. I have selected to hide it for guests - but would it be an idea to have a setting to hide it on small screens - like on telephones?

My people love it.  Options are good to have. 

Confirmed issue, new patch coming shortly to address any IPB 4.1 issues.

I had this problem too. Seems that IPS4 thinks rsyvarth's Social Groups and Kevin Carwile's Group Collaboration share the same application ID.
You can install GC as an upgrade to rsyvarth's Social Groups when converting from 3.x and it works fine, Kjell. Just use the dropdown next to the inactive "groups" app and pick Upgrade, then upload the tarball when prompted.

When i promote another users post I see that I am the writer- not the original poster. Would it be possible to have the original poster as author?

Just wan't to thank you for sharing - because I have been down the same road. First with IP content in the 3.x series and now with Pages. I had to give up pages myselve and hired a programmer to help me (expensive) - because a portalpage and articlesection is something I have really needed for a long time now. 
I think that InvisionPower tend to forget that many Webmasters are not programmers. I'm not anyway. I would like to spend my time making content - not code stuff. 
I hope that the improvements promised by Lindy will help. With the history in mind I'm not so sure. The reason for saying that: I think about IPcontent and the struggle many of us had to get a nice page - and at the same time IP told us it was so easy to use.
The fact is that Pages is highly customizable - and the same was IP.content. I would rather have less opportunities and choices - but be able to create a good looking page and nice looking articles without having the programming skills really needed now. Thats really just a basic wish.

I know the saying - "when its ready" - anyway - could you give a closer estimate on the timeframe for the documentation? This month?
 
 

Please, please, please, please re-add the ability to export templates without a database. Lack of premade MP templates for the articles database, including feed block templates, is directly related to Pages requiring we export the entire database, which makes absolutely no sense for the database that is preinstalled, and doesn't actually work for it, and that's not even considering the point that block templates cannot be exported via any means.
Those of us that can code cannot help those that cannot premade in this area with the way it is now. I cannot even do a custom locally with the way it is now, as there is no way to transfer such, which ends up with me working on a live site. Not cool. I was actually waiting for a topic such as this to be made. If somebody with a basic clue and can code like myself is struggling due to this, I can't imagine how painful this is for the layman, and the surprised look from staff was not expected... I put in a feedback topic a while ago begging for this to be restored, and have left it since then, but it is a very real need.
