kotaco got a reaction from Percival in Marketplace Trusted Author
Can we fast-track some of the updates approval processes for verified/ trusted creators? The wait for IPS verification on simple bug fixes r/t software updates for some of these apps can be extremely long and impact our communities negatively while we wait. Seems like there are plenty of content creators here that regularly submit working, verified apps that would be safe to allow on some sort of fast-track as opposed to unknown submitters.

kotaco reacted to Lindor in Legal Name and Site Name
Hi team, I think that we need one field more for legal name in the site. Because the site name can be different that Legal name for mails and legal pages like Terms, Privacy Policy or others.
We cant write "ACME Entertainmet LLC" as Site Name because this appears in every page as title page, so we need a "Site Name" like "ACME" and Legal Name like "ACME Entertainmet LLC".
I post here and not in suggestions because this field is missing and I think that is essential for upcoming updates.
Thanks a lot!

kotaco got a reaction from Nathan Explosion in Hump Day: Bionic Reading in communities
I think things like this should be left to browser extensions for the vast minority who seek it out.

kotaco got a reaction from SeNioR- in Intermittent Error 500
I faced a similar issue with occasional errors, the cause of mine was some PHP resource settings. In particular "max_input_time" was set to the default of 30 seconds, it needed to be increased to avoid timeouts when writing files

kotaco got a reaction from Gauravk in Gallery Mass Image Management
We utilize a very large gallery and at times there is a need for some mass cleanup. We have noticed the following items could be improved:
Currently there is no option to select multiple images to change owner, must be done one by one. You can hide/delete/etc, but not alter ownership. Currently there is no option to move images into another users album if moderator/admin. You can only move them into albums you have created. If an album has ownership changed, there is no option to apply that change to the images inside the album. Therefore the album is under a new owner, but the images remain under the original album owner. This is ok in some cases, but undesirable in others, an option would be helpful here. -

kotaco got a reaction from SeNioR- in Marketplace: There was a problem loading this content.
I was having an issue with S3 not allowing me to install items through the Marketplace. I would get a "There was a problem loading this content" error.
I believe the issue was related to my CORS config as it was resolved after including "PUT" and "POST" in AllowedMethods[]
[ { "AllowedHeaders": [ "*" ], "AllowedMethods": [ "HEAD", "GET", "PUT", "POST" ], "AllowedOrigins": [ "*" ], "ExposeHeaders": [], "MaxAgeSeconds": 3000 } ] Unsure if anyone else has run into this, or if this is the ideal setup for CORS, but it seems to have resolved the issue.

kotaco reacted to CheersnGears in Pages SuperGrid support
Might I make a feature suggestion?
I have SuperGrid and I also recently purchased SuperReviews. I am using them independently on different databases. However, I really like how the SuperReviews formats the Multi-image field in the record display. Is that possible to add to the SuperGrid record display as well.
My use case is that when I do reviews, I attach the photos of the interior and exterior to the review and SuperReviews does that well. But in my news database, I still need to do this for when there is a vehicle release, but with SuperGrid it appears to use the default IPS formatting.
Thank you for considering. Both plug-ins are fantastic and essential to the running of my site.

kotaco got a reaction from OptimusBain in Hump Day: new live community features
Adobe and Microsoft both faced similar responses when they went SaaS. They also got negative feedback from small businesses and adjusted course accordingly. Adobe by offering cheaper lighter option and Microsoft by offering 1 time licenses as well as 365 licenses.

kotaco reacted to Nathan Explosion in (NE) Mention list enhancements
v2.1.1 is currently pending approval.
FIXES
Fixed PHP 8 issue in template, which would cause the mention list to not appear correctly CHANGES
Removed 'Include banned accounts in list' setting as 'Banned' accounts are no longer included in the list by default by IPS (intention of this setting was to allow you remove 'Banned' accounts from the listing - feature no longer required) NEW
Tested & compatible with IPS 4.7 -
kotaco reacted to stoo2000 in Mail Bouncer - Automated Bounce Management
If your SendGrid API key is still populated in the SendGrid integration it'll still try to use it and check the web hook is configured properly - For example, you might still want to process bounces in response to a newsletter you've sent via a different platform without sending your Invision Community email via the same method.
If you temporarily enable the integration and then remove the API key, it'll stop trying to use SendGrid.
I will add a decay for the error messages to the next release so they'll eventually vanish.

That's a goer, as long as you don't expect it to be an 'exact' representation of the actual content.

kotaco got a reaction from Joachim Sandstrom in Better Forum Icons
I appreciate your work on that, and my issue isn't with your mod at all. It's more so that I really believe that this is something that should natively be a part of the IPS forum settings without requiring custom CSS replacements or a third-party modification. 🙂
