Giray got a reaction from Luke Z in IPS 4.7.2 final major problem
Not sure if you notified all the third party devs but if they had been they would not be scrambling at the last minute. In a perfect world, for such a major shift, you'd think that third party developers would have upgraded their apps BEFORE 4.7.2 was released.
Not looking for an answer or explanation inasmuch as what's done is done, but it would have been smoother.

One more thing. A quick shout out to @Adriano Faria who first thing this morning, and I mean first thing, was hammering out update notices on all of his apps. He's the only one that I've seen all day. I hope they all get approved quickly, but kudos for the immediate intervention. I hope that the other devs are also pushing updates, especially on the big apps that so many of us use!

Not assuming. Just looking at my dashboard with its several 'Locked' apps, none of which are yours 😇

Giray reacted to Davyc in IPS 4.7.2 final major problem
Just a very quick update before I sign off for the evening. @Adriano Faria has pulled it out of the bag and the app that I use that is crucial to my site's existence has been swiftly approved in the Marketplace and my site is back up and running now. So, a huge thankyou to @Adriano Faria and a big thank you to IPS for expediting the approval of the app.
I would point out one small thing to anyone who has a similar experience, once you update you have to 'enable' the app in the applications section of the ACP as it is not automatically enabled. The locked status is no longer present.
Hope that helps 🙂

Point taken. Thanks.
'some devs' is more accurate and absolutely not 'all other devs' as my post implied.

Then report it to them (if not already done) instead of the blanket 'other devs' that other people may (will) read and think 'all devs'

Giray got a reaction from CaliPilot in IPS 4.7.2 final major problem
Good point. Best point in the entire thread, actually. I take back my criticism. If we're serious about our setups, we create testing environments. Truth be told, it's not as easy as 1-2-3, but if your setup is monetized and mission critical, you hire someone who knows what they're doing. This does not mean that IPS could not, IMHO, have been more diligent in the warnings and process, but it splits the burden of responsibility in two. Thanks Chris.

Yes, we have since we started releasing betas for 4.7 in May, and we wrote a dev blog outlining what the scanner will do including locking applications about a month ago.

Giray reacted to Jim M in Footer banner advertisement not responsive
Looks like the advertisement currently is using custom HTML. You would need to apply the proper responsive CSS classes to have this work:
As customizations, such as this, are outside our scope of support and if you are not comfortable with the nitty gritty of this, I would recommend using the image field in the advertisements module. Just do not specify an image for each screen size and it will resize it with the screen automatically. If this is not happening, you will want to switch to an unmodified theme and disable any third party applications/plugins.

Giray got a reaction from Chris Anderson in Improved Clubs Enhancements
I think there is a critical mass of Improved Club Enhancements users who feel that Leaders need to have more permissions. At least the permission to add members. If not, what use do the leaders have? If they can't do anything more than a moderator, why have them at all?

Giray reacted to Daniel F in Ran a rebuild of links; now error
This seems to be an issue with the FAQ app
[file] => /home/*******/public_html/applications/faq/sources/Question/Question.php which is using \IPS\Member::loggedIn() where it shouldn't be used.

Giray reacted to Jim M in Bypass Automatic Moderation
It would simply mean that if that member group has that enable that your Automatic Moderation settings would not impact them. You can see automatic moderation in ACP -> Members -> Content Moderation -> Automatic Moderation.
Automatic Moderation are basically a set of rules that you can define when something happens to content. Like you could set up a rule so that if 2 members report content as spam, it is automatically hidden for review.
