  1. Has anyone got this app working on 4.5? I'm ready to upgrade from 4.4 but this app remains my only doubt as I have read comments from people experiencing problems. It works fine for me on 4.4 but I'd need it to keep working on 4.5. I only have it installed on my live site, not on my dev one so I can't test it before upgrading. So, does anyone know? @OctoDev?
  2. Maybe not exactly on topic, but today I noticed that I have become a "newbie" (And not just me, even some IPS staff too) :) Not that I care, but I find it a bit odd. I've been a member since 2010 and have near 700 posts. I'm certainly not here everyday, and only post when I need to ask something or when I bump across a question I can answer. But "newbie" doesn't seem to capture the situation very accurately.
  3. Okay, thanks. It would be good if there was one. Maybe if @Fosters has stopped developing this app, there's still room to release a plugin to add functionality to IPS own function.
  4. Thanks, good to know. Do you know the default limit? It doesn't seem to have a way of controlling this (or I haven't found it yet).
  5. Any plans in the future for adding subcategories? With them it may help to reduce the number of forums and subforums that some of us have. Just thinking aloud though. 😊
  6. On a bit of an unrelated note, using 4.4 and PHP 7.3 gives me a Error code: 1S160/2 when I click on the groups permissions. Reverting PHP to 7.2 works fine. (Before I confuse anyone, I'm talking of the padlocks in the Member Groups area only).
  7. By the way, just for the benefit of anyone using this plugin and also reading this topic. Do not uninstall, because you will lose the descriptions. I guess it's just waiting until the author is able to help. Cheers.
  8. Not sure if you are asking me as well. I'm still using an older version (1.0.1) of the plugin that still works with 4.4 at least (I don't know about 4.5). It was pretty simple back then and doesn't include some features like Clubs compatibility, but since I don't use Clubs, it's not a problem for me. This is the way it worked before the selection option was moved to each individual forum. You just edited it from the plugins page and could tick all forums. I understand Alexxis' problem because I have heaps of forums and it would be impractical to select one by one. Now, it looks like his version is throwing an error on top of that.
  9. That's the reason why I'm still running version 1.0.1 on 4.4. I have some faint optimism that maybe even works on 4.5 (for when I upgrade), but maybe not and in that case me too will need to think of a MySQL query. It's a pity this aspect changed after version 1.0.1 of the plugin.
  10. I'm interested in some Cloud Storage just for backups. I looked at Wasabi and I think there was no way of making it delete the files automatically after a given number of days (Imagine I only want the keep the 7 latest backups for example). I know this is possible with Amazon, but I don't want to deal with Amazon. Does Backblaze allows this?
  11. Someone is already taking care of this. Thank you.
  12. No, you need utf8mb4 if you already have tables with that Collation. For example a few tables of my database, where the collation is utf8mb4_unicode_ci I believe you'll need to dump a copy of your database using the terminal instead of the dropdown options you mean. See the links below. BUT please seek someone else's advice as I can only warn of what happened to me, but that doesn't mean I really know how to do it myself. https://gist.github.com/attilahorvath/f83596970d9f50cd5a83 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=17311135 Again, please check with someone with migration experience before going ahead. Cheers.
  13. BPoint is an Australian merchant facility that I've been using. If you look at their packages here: https://www.commbank.com.au/business/merchant-services/bpoint.html you'll see three (BPoint Backoffice, BPoint Checkout and Bpoint Enterprise). I'm currently using BPoint Backoffice, which means that I need to approve all payments manually, and then approve each subscription in IPS Commerce too. I'd like to upgrade to BPoint Checkout, so both things can happen automatically. That is, users pay a transaction with credit/debit card and it then approves automatically in Commerce, without needing my intervention for any step of the process. The developer's information for BPoint can be found here: https://www.bpoint.com.au/developers/v5 If possible I'd like the payment form to specify what cards we accept, and if also possible, I would like for users not having to enter their names nor their addresses, keeping compulsory fields to a bare minimum to simply allow the payment. The payment gateway that you'll create preferably will need to work with IPS 4.4 and 4.5 (because I haven't upgraded yet but eventually I will). Please contact me, should you be interested in making this payment gateway for me. Thanks.
  14. @hpcrazy, apart from all the info needed to do that, please also pay attention to this little detail, that the people who moved mine didn't, and I'm still tidying up all the emojis lost. If you use Emojis on your site, that means your character set in your database is utf8mb4. So, it's not enough with setting the database in the new server to that as well. Make sure the mysqldump to which the database backup is made in the old server is ut8mb4 as well, because sadly the mysqldump default still is UTF8, and this is a detail easy to overlook. Not knowing this, when my migration was done, I simply tested the emojis by typing a few new ones, and that worked (because the character set in the new server was correctly set to ut8mb4). Unfortunately, it didn't occur to me to check the existing emojis, and 3 months later I noticed they all were showing as a question mark instead (except for those created after the migration). Lost never to be recovered. Anyway, maybe you are on top of this, but it may come in handy to know by those with little knowledge of migrations like myself. Cheers.
  15. Apologies for bumping my own topic, but does anyone know the above? Thanks.
  16. No sure if this will solve your problem, but there are two other places you haven't mentioned that you may need to change. In System > Advanced Configuration You probably need to change the Template disk cache path (under the Server Environment tab) And you also probably need to change the full path of the Directory (under the Data Storage tab) In both cases this may be needed if the directory where your IPS installation was the old domain name and now is the new domain name instead. So, maybe it's just changing part of the path (simply replace name of old directory or domain with name of new directory or domain). Chances are the rest of the path remains the same if you haven't migrated to a different server.
  17. Happy New Year everyone. I've been wondering this for a long time, and I have searched here but I haven't found any conclusive answers. I've been pondering about using Pages to commission someone to make a directory, and for that I would like to pull fields from the members' profiles. I understand that's possible. Now, I believe it would impractical to do so, if I wasn't able to create pages with widgets whose default is a random sorting of the entries every time you load the page. So, the simple question is: Can you have Pages with widgets that sort entries randomly as a default? (Even custom widgets, I'm not asking for anything out of the box necessarily).
  18. Yes, I wasn't able to a get a single positive result from that test at the Coinbase page. But my app works nonetheless. Do you have a page where you have your subscriptions for members to buy? If you do, why don't you try to buy one and see how far you get? You don't need to complete the transaction, you can cancel if you wish. But if after selecting this method of payment when you buy a subscription, you'll see that from your site, you are redirected to the Coinbase Commerce one, to a page like this: If you get this far, maybe all is fine. However, if when you buy a subscription, you don't find this payment method or it does not redirect you to a page like this, then something is wrong.
  19. @Steven Tolle I think you have not mentioned @OctoDev correctly (so he maybe won't know you are asking him a question, though I guess he follows this topic regardless of whether he's mentioned or not). I have the app and it's working correctly for me. However, I'm running IPS 4.4 and the respective version for this app. So, some things may vary for me. From what I read in this same thread, you cannot access the callback url directly with your browser. For example, if I try to visit mine, all I get is: "Not a valid callback" (yet the app is working fine for me). Now, since I don't have IPS 4.5 yet, I don't know if that "Custom" message that appears in the applications listing is normal or not. It doesn't look normal to me just at a guess, but maybe someone here running IPS 4.5 can confirm. Have you tried uninstalling this app (coinbase commerce gateway) and install it again?
  20. @OctoDev, I'm happy to report that everything is working as intended. I received the first crypto payment overnight, and it approved itself. It's just the test on the Coinbase Commerce site that cannot be performed for some reason. Which is fine if all the rest works. Cheers.
  21. Hi @OctoDev, I've bought this and now I'm trying to get a positive result with the test on Coinbase, but it keeps failing. I'm using IPS 4.4, Australian Dollars as the currency, and using Cloudflare too. I haven't had a complete transaction, as nobody has chosen cryptocurrency to pay with yet (I've installed this only yesterday). However, I've gone as far as the prompt for paying, and so far, so good. If I choose a Bitcoin for example, it tells me the wallet address to copy and/or offers to scan the code. So, that's fine. My problem is getting an OK with the Coinbase Test. Here are my settings on Coinbase: On Cloudflare I have made a rule like this: And I also did it like this just to test: It makes no difference. I have also whitelisted Coinbase's IPs range. (Hopefully the correct one, as I've only found this on Google) But no matter what, I still get: Any idea of what it could be wrong? I will also have to wait until someone pays to see what happens. Maybe if it gets as far as this screen, it means that it's working, and it just cannot perform the test on Coinbase (Just wanting to be optimistic here) 😉 So, how does Coinbase know who the payment belongs to after the person sends BTC? Is it something which is part of the Bitcoin address? Any help or ideas will be appreciated. Thanks.
  22. Thanks for this plugin @HeadStand. I've bought it just to modify one Commerce template in order to add more payment info, and it works really well. Just one question. I understand that IPS sends the emails in html and text only formats (for whoever doesn't have an html-enabled mail client). Is the text only version still sent even if we use a custom email wrapper for a template?
  23. I use a plugin on my browser (Firefox) to convert back to Jpeg when downloading. I know it exists for Chrome too. I serve .webp files on my site via Cloudflare. Only the cached versions from Cloudflare are .webp, while on my server they remain the original format they have.
