Hi @Daniel F I don't have any errors in the System log from today. Where do I find the server error log normally? I have access to CPanel and to WHM.

Hello, Luckily this is my test site, not my live one. Anyway, previously I was on 4.7.2 running PHP 7.4 and with three third party apps/plugins flagged as problems for PHP 8. Okay, I deactivated those 3rd party apps/plugins, switched to PHP 8. Ran the compatibility file, all good. I had to deactivate a 4th app though that had a problem only when I visited the forums index. But basically all was ready to upgrade. I downloaded the 4.7.6 zip file from here, all good. I uploaded the content via FTP, very slow upload as I'm basically overseas on the road, but eventually all was uploaded and no error message from the FTP program. I ran the upgrade with no problem, got the confirmation and the option to go to the ACP or the site. Three apps were locked by the scanner (including one which had not been flagged before nor did I had a problem running it on 4.7.2 with PHP 8), but anyway, all good on the ACP and I still have access to it. Go to see the front side, and all I get is a blank page. I disabled all 3rd party apps and plugins but I still get a blank page. I'm wondering whether to reupload all files again. It was painfully long the time it took the first time and nothing indicates it will be faster a second time, as I'm stuck with whatever internet connection I have. Any ideas please?

Is there a temp solution I could use?

Ah, I see. You are correct. The only difference it does is showing the group or not but when you search it produces 0 result. I did not know that because I have all secondary groups switched off for filtering.

Have you checked if the group in question is allowed to show when filtering? It works fine on my site but I'm not running the very latest version yet, so maybe a bug?

Yes, it means "This user is not awaiting validation".

As it is now, this block serves the purpose of selecting/deselecting the contents of any forum contained in the fluid view. It would be of much help if when you clicked on any of them (that is, the name of any of them) it took you to that forum. However, the checkbox each has next to them could be left as it is for selecting/deselecting the contents from the fluid view. That way, members looking for the individual forums to browse what's inside them, could find them on that side block relatively easy. Also, that block would serve two purposes instead of just one. When creating a stream (particularly an admin-made stream), it would be great if you could select all subforums inside a category and/or inside a parent forum, just by ticking a box "Select all inside". This would work really well in sites like mine with lots and lots of subforums of course (where I cannot tick all one by one to include them in a stream). I know that now you can do that with the forums fluid view basically, but good part of my membership base don't want the fluid view of forum topics, IF it also means losing the browsing down path through the individual folders or subforums they are used to. So, having streams achieving something similar would be great because you can put links to them wherever you want without losing access to some branches of the site's tree-like structure.

Sorry to intrude with a question but where is that setting? I believe that I'm trying to achieve the opposite. That is, I'd like combined fluid view to not honour the pinned topics. (Ideally it would be great to decide per forum category but I think that's not possible at this stage)

Hmm, I thought that for that you had to select Content Items, comments and reviews, as opposite to Content Items only, but I very well be wrong about it. Apologies in that case.

Is there maybe a template that I could tweak?

For some reason the Bookmark link in the posts comes in between two other ones: What can I do to put "Bookmark" at least after the "Quote" link (or even last)? I just wish to keep the two icons (mention and multi-quote) first. Cheers.

There are those of us who also run apps that are not in the marketplace (and no idea what happens in that case). Luckily, I like to procrastinate when it comes to upgrades and haven't tried yet. I do have a test site though. I was thinking at leaving PHP 7.4 on but it looks that this won't avoid the problem which is a shame. So, I'll keep waiting for more news before any upgrade, but as others have said a script that lets you know beforehand would be ideal (and yes, I read why this hasn't been the case).

I post this again as a reminder for some new functionality I'm begging for at this stage. And that is the capability to automatically move detected members to another user-group (which one could create with limited functionality, so it'd be in their best interest to contact you, rather than admins going after them). I know the app offers the possibility of banning people already, but IMHO that would be too harsh and counter-productive for your community in the long run. Just to illustrate the problem, I add a screenshot of a PM folder I have created to move the duplicates alerts into. And yes, many of those are repeated instances of detection, etc. but it illustrates what happens on a site where you sell subscriptions and also have a teaser offering a few free views. Some people keep creating accounts just to get more free views and avoid paying subscriptions, no matter how cheap they may be. Most don't reply to the automatic PM the app sends either, so, just imagine the extra amount of workload that chasing up these duplicates requires.

And a check and repair of the core_members table fixed the whole thing, including the dodgy account. 🙂

In a last minute twist... the table is not actually deleted. I'm sure that earlier when I looked for it, it jumped from ID number 246924 to 246926 (being this one 246925). But now the table is certainly there, it looks quite normal in list view, that is when I look the page with all the other tables, all the info is in each column but when I open it, it's empty. I'm sure this problem started before my deletion attempt from the database, and it explains all the abnormalities with the account I noticed. If I try to refill all the data, it still saves empty. So, not sure if there's a way of repairing (it looks like changes are not saved). However, while this may not be a functioning account, at least records are not orphaned (or so I think). Thanks you everyone who gave suggestions here.

It was a brand new account with a couple of posts that were deleted before his account. I see the tables that are produced with a database search and they are just a few.

Okay, will do that with a bit more time. In the meantime, it doesn't look like this has affected anything else. Cheers

What about if I create a new account and change the relevant details in the other tables? (as belonging to that new account).

Originally I deleted the account from the ACP, and it gave me an error message, it was only then that I decided to delete it from the database. Now if I search the database (all tables) for the username, it delivers a series of other tables (like admin logs, where it shows my deletion attempt of the original account, and two other deletions following the two tables I inserted with same id following your suggestion). It also returns a result from core_members, but when I click on "browse" to look at it says that it returned an empty result set. So, that's a bit odd.
