Well, I'd like to give you the converse and share MY fear: like most admins and community managers, I'm already limited in time to managing my own community, much less trying to manage the dozen other other social media properties.  I wish I had the luxury to handpick, curate, and write cute teasers on every single item to promote, but the reality is that I won't have time.  So anything you can do to automate and expedite the promotion (eg. auto-promote articles, promote directly from activity stream) will help time-pressed admins fulfill their promotions in the most efficient manner while still allowing them the ability to curate the items as needed.  
Also, I'd like to point out that it's not IPS' responsibility to ensure people post interesting things.  You can never really fully address that burden of responsibility.  (Unless your SEO classes are followed by creative writing classes?? )
 

1.  We can promote any content including those where guests don't have permissions, correct?  
2.  Photo of the block?  Both main content area and sidebar.
3.  I second the suggestion by @Real Hal9000 but with a more detailed suggestion: a setting in a category to automatically turn ON promotions for all new content.  (The author of the content item can still manually disable the promotion; and admins can still delete the promotion from the ACP.  All this does is automatically queue the promotions).  This automates the process even more for busy community managers like @Charles.  Keepin' it real for you Charles.
4.  Is Matt our new SEO Guru?? I can see him doing bicep curls as he draws nonsensical SEO diagrams:

5.  "Our Picks" index page - any way to remove the titles and subtitle?  This can be a very compelling and dynamic homepage a la Pinterest once you add some blocks.   
6.  Safe to assume that content items on Our Picks index will follow permissions?  For example, members-only content items won't show to visitors?  
7.  Suggestion: allow Community Moderators / Admins to promote directly from the Activity Stream.  This will help speed up the promotion process 
8.  Suggestion: When re-promoting content (thank you Rikki for confirming), I think it would be beneficial to keep a history of prior promotions.  
9.  How many content items do we show on Our Picks index?  When do they fall off?  

As Charles said, once we gauge interest, we can look at other social networks. I wrote the system to allow you to drop in a new class and it can then be used.
Great feature suggestion. Right now it's locked to one Facebook page and one Twitter account, but I like this idea for the future.

Thank you! Our goal here was to encourage you to promote your community on different channels and make it easy to do so. We also know that Facebook's organic reach algorithms favours media posts, so we felt that it was important to make it easy to share not only the link, but also any relevant images you may have. It all helps to be visible.
We'll have a detailed guide ready for the release of 4.2 on how to set up a Facebook app with the correct permissions. But if you do not want to use Facebook, that's fine as you can stick with Twitter and Our Picks to curate interesting content for your audience.

Hello, Team always doing the best insurmountable things in forums.
A query currently manages a community that every day bigger we are using the integration of discord app of voice chat of servers to synchronize the roles of the forum with the server to deliver roles when buying the members subscriptions in the forum a role in the forum this you also get it on the server discord.
I want to know if this Zapier integration will have the same functions because it would be of great help for the invision community to add the easy integration of discord app with their forums as it does with google, facebook. twitter

The main benefit is to integrate with this party services. Zapier provides a common platform of exchange for any app: Mailchimp, Google, Facebook, Dropbox, etc - and now Invision Community - to send data to any other.
The fact you can use it to send stuff from one Invision Community to the same Invision Community is an interesting thing I wanted to mention, but I imagine most people will be linking with external services.
"Integrate with [insert service name here]" is one of our most popular feature requests.
Zapier also has this!
During testing, I had a Zap that did "if someone makes a post, and that post contains my name, blink the lights in my living room red and send me a slack message - if it contains another staff member's name, blink the lights blue". I was going to include a video in the blog entry, but thought we should stick to realistic examples (people are sometimes a bit literal and I thought some might get confused into thinking we were aiming for building a feature that aimed to blink the lights in your home 😅).
We don't have a "New Purchase" trigger yet (though obviously it's high on our list) but by sending that trigger to Delay and then an email service that kind of thing is a great example of the sort of thing you could accomplish.

I'm interested in the concept of Invision integrating with Zapier in terms of events, triggers, and actions!  We use and rely on the 3rd party "Rules" app, and the uncertainty as to whether it'll work with each new version of Invision Community has had me a little on edge. lol

It'd be wonderful if these same "ETA"'s could be used internally, as in Invision --> Invision.   e.g. If member registers --> create a post in the forum
e.g. If customer makes a purchase --> Queue up a follow-up email for 30 days from the purchase date.
Regardless of any of that, this is great!

Also noticed in BETA 4 that the RSS Feed Image field that is shown in the blog post is not included...has this feature been dropped or is there an issue with it that is still to be fixed in an upcoming BETA release?

This is real nice and all but I wonder is it possible to also show Latest articles before the stream? Can IPS be set up like that? I assume now you can set either Content Discovery as your homepage or Articles. Is there a way to have  both these things on the same page? To drag all that content discovery as a block and save it?

These changes are welcome but you guys have a lot more work ahead of you to make significant improvements to localization of IPS. 🙂 Perhaps in IPS 5..

Make a notification when a members' post is chosen as a best answer or gets an upvote.
When a member wins a 1-3 place on leaderboard.

Very good improvement, step in the right direction of course! Congrats!
However I did not understand if it will be possible to change the layout as we see fit? Take for example like WPBakery where you can set how you want it 1/2 + 1/2 or 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 and so on instead of being forced to have this 2/3 (main center area) + 1/3 (sidebar).

Good to have preview by topic, but one thing I'd say I've wanted more has been to restrict/ban a member from a certain topic, it would work better than every post going on preview if its just a certain member causing the problem. Any chance?
