Richard Arch got a reaction from SeNioR- in Date format used here
@Matt haha, you can now put some of that to right 😛
I'd be happy with the likes of November 2nd, 2022, if you want, as it reads what it is and can not be mistaken as 2nd February 🙂
Yes, then you too would read that date as being February then.
Yes, I think that would work too for all of us.

Can you use an international format to display dates?
This looks like 2nd of February to me and others this side of the Atlantic ocean. Using a format like 2022/11/02 or 02 November 2022 would make the whole site easier to read.
This just looks like an old update to me 🙂

Richard Arch got a reaction from GazzaGarratt in RSVP reserve list
The latest November 2022 Release video, Charles mentioned some new features that are being planned, such as paid events and RSVP like tickets.
With that in mind, could you add a reserve list to the RSVP when there are limited spaces? So that when someone drops out, the next member on the reserve list takes their place and the system sends them a notification.
My community would hugely benefit from this as members plan their own small events which have limited spaces and there are nearly always others wanting to join if someone who has said they are going but later cant make it and drop out. It would really help with organising these events and make it fair for others.

Richard Arch reacted to Nathan Explosion in Mass deletion of members
Use the search functionality in the Members listing:
And when you get the results then you will see a "Prune Members Found" link that will allow you to mass delete.

Richard Arch got a reaction from SeNioR- in v4.7.3 b2 Manual Credit Withdrawal, bug with Manual Details field
Hi
I think I've found a bug. The manual details field is marked as mandatory but can be left blank when requesting a withdrawal. I installed a standard forum on a local sever (using wampserver) to repeat and confirm the issue.
To reproduce:
AdminCp > Commerce > Payments - Withdrawals Setup the Withdrawal Methods as Manual and complete the other fields. Add some credit to a member, log in as that member and request a withdrawal. Note the details field is marked with a *, leave it blank and press the Withdraw button. Result:
The popup closes without requesting the details. Expected result:
An error message to be displayed requesting that the details field is completed.

Richard Arch reacted to All Astronauts in PHP 8.0🎉
Technically speaking, as MP devs, we cannot until 4.8
Unless that is you add the third point to the marketplace version flags.
As it stands, a Marketplace 4.7 flag means PHP 7.4 and PHP 8. If we start throwing in PHP 8 specific stuff in our apps and people are hanging back on 4.7.2 or less it's going to be a bad time for a lot of people. I imagine the support discussions will go something like this:
Give us a 4.7.3+ flag and the Spidermen go away. Or don't and we laze about in the land of PHP 7.4 until Invision Community 4.8 comes along.

Richard Arch got a reaction from BURCIN ARIKAN in Calendar broke after update. (4.3.6 - 4.7.3) php Version 7.4.32

The radians function accepts one parameter. Should those commas be a decimal?

Richard Arch reacted to Adriano Faria in Calendar Enhancements
Richard, I just uploaded new version, which is compatible with IPS 4.7.3+ but it still doesn't attach. I'll have to rethink this and contact marketplace moderators to use the core_Messaging extension, instead my own, as I don't store data (they're stored in message tables) but this will require a few days to get reply, reply back, etc. I'll release a new version after that.

Richard Arch reacted to GazzaGarratt in Enhancement to Calendar recurring event functionality
Whilst I like this idea, if IPS take it forward I would hope it would take into account how people RSVP. Currently I don't use recurring events because RSVP is connected through the whole series whereas most event functions elsewhere allow the user to RSVP to individual occurences which is far more common sense e.g. if you can only make 3 out of the 5 event occurences.
If recurring events do get looked at in general, the RSS feed would also need to be updated as once someone makes an indefinite recurring event (even if by mistake), then the feed will show forever that recurrence on whatever device you have.
Feels like a general review of recurring events would help to include the OP suggestion and things I have mentioned if others agree?

It's missing the
$location = null in the method signature, same I sent you today earlier. Add it there and you're ok.
