@Adriano Fariai updated the to the new 1.2.0 version, and my members started to not being able to edit their posts. I disabled the application, and the bug disappeared.

Cloudflare R2 is a storage method like Amazon S3 and both are Api Compatible.
R2 is a lot cheaper than S3, there are the prices:
Would it be viable for IPS to add support for it?
It would be a really upgrade for IPS self hosting clients, since in R2 bandwidth is free, we only pay for storage and operations. -
Yep, for me too. About 2 hours ago it stopped generating the error log.

I have exactly the same issue.

When will the fix be applied to my forum? Seems some of my users are experiencing the problem (including me), but not others?
I also don't have the issue but some of my users have. What is happening is that my browser have the emojis in cache, so they are working. If i enter my site in private mode, i will also have the issue.

@A ZayedI can't embed link from the epic store. I don't think its the site blocking because the embed works in discord or facebook, if i post the link there.
You can check this example: https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/sable
Can you check it?
Thanks

The current default value is BIGINT(20) but in the past it had a lower limit. The column was not updated properly in one of the upgrade steps probably.
Mine is mediumint (8). You sure it changed to bigint?

They’ve already said it’s on their radar. It will most likely be like PHP8… released right before the actual EOL.
Given there has been no set date (just 2023)… that’s at least 12 more months. and with internet years being like dogs years… there’s still quite a bit of runway left. 🙂I wouldn't be so sure of that. They say the support will last until 2023, meaning it can end at the end of 2022.
Ckeditor 4 was released at the end of 2012, with a 10 year long term support. Unless they want to support more, 10 years ends at the end of this current year.

I have just spoken internally to see what the plan is for this. Currently we support Elasticsearch and OpenSearch, however they forked somewhat after version 7. At present, the plan is to focus on OpenSearch. Note, this may well change of course, but thats the plan currently.
The recommendations is to use OpenSearch instead of Elasticsearch?

Anyone here tried to use Cloudflare R2 that is S3 Api compatible and a LOT cheaper?

The login method was changed from only names to names and emails right after the announcement here.
Where can i change that? Currently in my forum we can only log in using the Username.
I went to Login & Registration in the ACP, but i didn't found that option.
PS: Forget it, i found it.

Copying the same content from your alert, I am not seeing this but if you leave the alert up for our user, I can have this investigated further by our dev team.
The alert is up for the user and i will leave it like that 👍

Sent you one.
Ok, no issues, and i found what was causing mine.
If i create a alert with just text or an embed link, no issues.
If i create an Alert with a link that occupies more than 1 line like my example, the issue happens. Now that i know why this happens, i won't do it anymore, but it can break a site for all users using Mobile, and the Admin won't even notice because he doesn't receive the Alert.

Unfortunately, I am not able to reproduce this myself on my test instance with the same text. Only difference is I have the patch. Could you please apply the patch in ACP -> Support then retest?
I installed the last patch and it still happens.
Can you send me an alert here so i can test with the mobile and desktop browser?

@Marc Stridgeni updated the Access Information.
A created a new clean theme and the issue still happens. I can also replicate it with the desktop browser, i just need to resize the window till the dismiss button disappears.
In the mobile im using Android 10 with the last Chrome version.
The user i gave you access have the alert active so you can test it.
Here is a screen recording of it happening:

Could you please check this on a default unaltered theme?

We would need to look further into this for you, however the access details on file appear to be incorrect or missing. Could you please update these details by visiting your client area, selecting the relevant purchase, then clicking "Review/Update Access Information" under the "Stored Access Information" section.
We look forward to further assisting you.
Can you check again?

An hacked server is included with IPS support. IPS only supports their products, everything related to server management, is with the client.
My suggestion to you is to format your server, install everything again. As for restoring the backup of your site, i would probably install a clean ips last version, copy a backup of the uploads folders, and restore a mysql backup.
Change every passwords/keys. -

Seriously though what changed? There was nothing in the release notes to suggest it would be improved speed, unless you finally worked out why the admin account was sluggish compared to normal accounts, as that's the issue I've faced for ages until this release. Keep it like this please 😅
Probably some bug that was making some sites slower, that was fixed?
On my end, performance seems the same.

Red Hat based distros have one big advantage, they have a 10 years long term support, while Debian is only 5 years.
At least for me, that matters a lot.
Regarding 3rd party repos, security patches, etc, they also have all that.
From my experience on working with some Linux Distros, Red Hat distros are the most stable ones.
