Difference - Attached images with another extension, for example jpg have the following linking:

.../uploads/monthly_2021_05/kx-tda0108.jpg.93be6c51631d0649e5db740cacf2551b.jpg


Now attached webp images are linked like this

.../uploads/monthly_2021_06/solaren-invertor_webp.8005f60e008d46e8ddf57b6adfcda5a7

ie missing ".webp" in the ednd, and this does no cache for this resourses

I reported this bug about 2 weeks ago through the Client Area.

Reported it as well, they're asking for examples instead of actualy taking a look at it first.
What a bummer...

They've created an internal bug report. It's in boys. 🤖

Well, I can tell you guys that I had no good encounter with the support as well in the context of a similar problem: uploading a SVG favicon from ACP created no *.svg extension and on a strict server environment like mine (not allowing files with no extension) that was a deal breaker. I was persistent enough that they finally fixed that in 4.4.10. Now the same story with *.webp...

Will thumbnails be resized to a new webp file?

I mean, if a webp image is uploaded the system will create a webp thumbnail from it?
