I'll be upgrading to 4.1.8 soon. If anyone else can reproduce this error, please let me know.

@Mike John It only occurs with Use Cron (Recommended) set up, I asked IPS about the cron errors and they pointed me to your plugin.

Just installed on 4.1.8 - Will not allow for user authentication via email or admin approval, just goes to a error 500 page. Remove the app and everything works fine.

Do you also have a cron job set or "Run Automatically with Traffic" setting ?

Make sure your using the latest version of the Auto Welcome app as well. It fixes errors that were present on validation.

With Auto Welcome 2.4.8 installed I upgraded one of my sites to 4.1.8.1 and it is working properly. 1 email + 1 PM after email validation..

A minor fix for you: when you click on the "Update Available!" message via the ACP, it redirects to your devfuse website which does NOT list the latest 2.4.8 version.  It might be better to direct users to the official IPS Marketplace?

Also, thanks for the latest release and ongoing support.

Testing a possible patch now.

Thanks for letting me know, file updated. With this exception, I usually update both sites at the exact same time.

I am also getting the same CRON error with 4.1.8 and this associated with that in the ACP (see attached image).  Problem went away after disabling Auto Welcome.

Don't use the cron then

That's not a solution EKA lol.  It is temporarily but not long term.  I'm also posting here as directed by someone else in another topic who pointed out what the offending app may be, and if I could confirm it to post here.  Thanks for that "input" though.

Hi,

I am having the same issue with the profilesync cron task as the other, the IPS support told me that this plugin makes trouble. I am using cron as web cron (my web hosting provider run the cron every 60 seconds). Is there anything I can assist / test, @Mike John? I've just deactivated the application now.

Guys, the task locking has nothing to do with Cron, it's the task itself that's crashing. I get the same error and cron is disabled on my install, mine is still set to default which is run with traffic on site.
