By default, the JPG quality is set to 75 and the PNG compression level is set to 8. If you're like me, you like being able to fine tune this a bit higher. I keep my JPG quality level in the upper 90's and use a setting of 9 (max) for my PNG compression. These settings will not have any effect towards the photos already in use.
