Ok. so in ACP I do have 3 options. go with the logged in users crontab every minute use a webservice However in the dashboard, where "background" processes are, there is one more method as far as I see. The most important one for "immediately" after conversion. The "manual run now". However, this runs from a browser and now it's third day it is running and nowhere to be finished. I'd like very much to finish this manual run asap, then add to crontab and make sure everything is ok with database. Is there a way that I can run a script overnight that does this MUCH quicker than few records at a time through browser? I mean the browser pick…

looking in my ACP I see the call back url is: https://mydomain.com/applications/core/interface/facebook/auth.php But looking at the documentation it says: https://mydomain.com/oauth/callback/ When was this change introduced? My FB login has been offline for quite a while.

so my IPBoard is installed for long forgotten historic reasons into /forums/ folder. Would it be possible to use Invision Pages and to a page in / (root) folder somehow? I do have Pages installed and works. If so, can somebody help me set it up? conf_global.php has full url in it: /forums/ The custom page in / (root) folder would contain some base information before login into board, available to everyone.

Not sure what might be the issue here but I can't make the "Rebuild existing images" to take effect. As i understand it should resize all thumbnail images, also the ones that have uploaded with different size before. But all my thumbnails in forums remain same, only new ones uploaded take the effect. I have cleared the cache. Any suggestions?

Hi, I recently purchased a new skin/theme for my Invision forum. I have installed it succesfully, but when I go to Customization --> Themes, and I try to use the Edit button and set to "Set To Members Theme", it doesn't work. It just stays in default mode. The theme (Pro Red) has a 4.6.9, and version of the Invision version I use is also 4.6.9, so that doesn't seems to be the problem. I've also tried other themes but they didn't work either. What am I doing wrong? Do I have to enable "Designers Mode"? I tried doing that but then the forum wouldn't show up.

Hi, Sorry for the total n00b question! (Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask.) We've been an Invision Community user for many years and in fact feature it somewhat prominently on our site but don't actively manage or police it. We have never gone beyond casual customization and pretty much just use it as-is without ever having explored the features. Can you tell me the best way (through plugins or other means) to automatically and permanently delete old content, inactive users, etc.? Is it possible to have subscribers automatically renew their membership using either the PayPal or Stripe gateway platforms by default? I read the help guide, I am a little unclear if it will if the user saves their card details with this function of IP.Commerece/Nexus Also, any clarification if the issue regarding unpaid/expired membership renewals has been fixed?

If you move your site around and some how bugger up the CSS_BUILT_xx directory in the uploads folder, You will spend forever looking at [[Template core/front/global/globalTemplate is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme.]] or just plain, not having CSS and looking at an ugly site. No amount of running the support tool seems to fix this. It's very frustrating. I have no idea how the theme cache works or how to fix it once integrity is lost. Thoughts?

So i have recently got into Invision Community platform, as we all here are. I am one of those many who has no knowledge on coding or building an online community, so I try really not to rush and try to make right choices long term. I am new to Ipboard and have managed to install it and do the first steps. However, I do not know how to configure the cron job for my forum. This are the options my provider offers (sorry, it's German, hopefully you don't need it). Thank you very much! The "Similar Content" just led me to the solution (I had used the search but over 2000 results were a bit too much to scan ...). Hi All - I am setting up a closed tag system where I will preset the tags that I user can use when making a post. I noticed that the tags will appear on the front end in the order that I ut them in on on the backend during the setup. Is there a way where I can have tags show up in alpha order (on the front end) when the user goes to select a tag, or will the only way I can have them appear in alpha order is if I insert them that way during set up (back-end)? As I add tags over time, I am hoping I don't have to manually put them in alpha order, so I thought I would ask here. Thanks!
