Hi All Hope all is well, got notified by a member today that the facebook login has not been working, so went in and realised it had been deprecated and not working for a while aparrently. I deleted the app from facebook, and also then went to recreate the app and as well the login method in the admin panel, and then realised the instructions are not quite right, and it failed. I followed this - and I also followed the Google one too, as well as the Microsoft one which all appear now to be outdated. Is there a current version i can follow to get this setup correctly? Hey, last weeks I've been having complaints from our users that our (self hosted) IP is slower than before. First I tried tweaking php-fpm settings, but I never really saw enough concurrent connections to really justify upping the max_clients to something absurd. Then I saw that the database seemed to be having difficulties. I enabled slow query logging and found the following query that was really slow (> 5seconds) for about every user. This is for player auctions in our esports leagues. Thread goes up with a player. People blindly bid till close time. Thread closes and the bids reveal the winner. Is this still possible on invision cloud? To put up an opening post, set replies to hidden then to reveal them later on?

Unfortunately, my community no longer has much activity and the cost is not something our club can continue to afford. What is the best way for me to archive the forum (database, contents) so that at some point in the future we could potentially spin up a new license / copy and restore it? Related - I cannot see how I cancel my license renewal in the client area. Do I just take the forum offline?

Hi, in V4, it was easy to change template, but in V5, one needs to create a HOOK. In this case, how to change the default value? For example, in mobile footer, I want to change "Unread" to "Home", change URL etc. Can someone share a sample code?

Hi. I have a self hosted v4 community forum and have searched for a straightforward answer to the licensing situation for v5 and I can’t find a definitive answer. A licensing FAQ in the Client Area would be helpful. So I hope you can answer my queries below: How much will it cost to go from my current v4 community forum (Forums and Blog) to the new Invision Community Classic terms? I currently pay every six months, will this still be an option? Do I have to go to the new Community Classic terms, or can I stay on the current licensing arrangement for v5?

When it comes to Bulk Mail announcements, I wonder how many recipients is too many recipients? I have an announcement to make that could potentially be of interest to nearly any member of our community but if I send it to everyone that's over 100,000 recipients. Is this is a bad idea? Should I filter the recipients to send only to members that have been active in the past 2 or 3 years? Just wondering what is good practice and if there are risks associated with sending a bulk mail to too many recipients. Thank you!

Hi A beginner to Admin and ACP here. Whilst trying to set up a new user for Admin emails, Ive encountered an issue using Invision Community in the Cloud as the delivery method in ACP > System > Email settings All the server details and log in information are correct as they was given to me by the senior Admin. The client [ Thunderbird] receives emails, but when replying to them, it doesn't physically deliver them, ( never receive them at other end) but the Client doesn't show any error messages or codes. Used different email address's to send to the Site ( instead of Gmail) which it still receives, but again when I reply to them they never …

Hi! I'm trying to enable the "Clubs" feature on our site, and I think I'm just missing a step -- even after reading the Help Guide. I've enabled the Clubs in the AdminCP: However, when I go into the individual Group settings, there are no Clubs options showing: . . . which means there's no way to allow a group to create clubs.
