It would be good if I can have a area for notes in where we import rss feeds. Reason being, I have around 500 rss links, and it is becoming total confusion with names of rss and names of sub forums, what goes where and why and from where. So would really appreciate this addon . Thanks

We have to create and mark permissions to all new forums after creating a new category (with permissions), would it not be better if there were a small check box to say, inherit permissions from parent category?

Just taking some time to look at the new IPB2.0 (at last!). I love the new Posting screen, the html and easy switch RTE/Standard buttons will be so useful. My point though is with the new Member List page - its very good, but can you add an option to display members with Personal Statements like you can list members with Photo's? This would be very handy to quickly check for any potential naughties with this new Personal Statement feature. I looked in More Options but the option to list all members with Personal Statements isn't there. Keep up the good work!

Hi, I just made a site which uses the SSI news output feature so that a friend with no web design knowledge can update his main home page of the site by posting in the IPB's news forum. I had to disable the links to add comments and view the profile of the poster of each news item, because the links for those features contain characters like & which cause the page validation to fail. (The page that contains the news is XHTML valid). This is a shame and I wondered if this could be addressed and any other improvements have or could be made to the SSI output of IPBv2.x?

Hide Individual Signatures

Ever see those members with extremely long signatures which take up your whole screen? Yes, you could disable all signatures, and problem solved, but what if you actually want to see most signatures, but it's just those long signatures just annoy you? It'd be great if you could hide individual signatures, which would take care of those extremely long signatures rather easily, while still being able to see everyone else's reasonably sized signatures. I did a search, and I don't think I found anyone's suggested it yet. If so, sorry about that. And yes, I just came across a long signature on a forum I go to. >_<

Ok whats up with this... so we ask for the real IPB 2.2 Final/RC GDK. When I download that file, all I see is the IPB 2.0 series GDK. I mean I want to improve my boards skin and get into custom skinning, but its not helping with a outdated GDK and one that has extra buttons that we don't need nor have been used in the 2.1.x series. Like the Add Poll and stuff, no longer exists so why can't we receive the real IPB 2.2 GDK? Is it too much to ask for, or are you guys hiding your graphic companies work or something like a legal issue? I mean all you need to do is add another file called IPB 2.2 GDK, not change some lettering and fix the format of the download manager to make…

When i try to go to my site www.youchat.co.uk i somtimes get a internet explorer 'this page cannot be displayed' message. I can still get into the FTP so i dont think it is anything to do with the domain, i have submited a ticket to my hoasting company. I was just wondering if it is my forums 2.2.0 RC3, is there any way this could happen somtimes but not all the time? Could it be a invision problem?

--I think it's time to change the coding and quoting style no? It needs a new style & improvements. -Also ability to select quoted & coded text in one simple click. It's annoying to me that I have to select all the text by highlighting them with mouse. As you can see there is a <select> link, which you can click to select the coded & quoted area :) I think, this should have been a feature of IPB 2.2! Here are my 2 feature requests: 1) Time limit on replying to topics. A lot of problems we have in our forums are from people replying to threads that are 2 years old. Covert spammers use this tactic a lot as well, since some of the threads in our forum are pretty high in google for certain terms. Yes, I realize I could close each thread manually but with 20,000+ threads this just isn't practical. PLEASE, PLEASE implement a time limit I can set - maybe a month by default. After that time limit, nobody but admins can bump the thread. Seriously, this would elliminate about 90% of the problems I've encountered in running a mid-size forum. 2) Search logs, per user. Hello, first of all, thank you to invision services for their great RC releases, but i still find something really important missing, here goes the explanation: On my site i have around 6/7 import feeds activated, all these feeds are from huge companys, and news wich means qround 300 new posts from feeds import, per day. I had to disable it because it was flooding the "View New posts" feature as, it only appeared on ther hundreds of feed posts because the feeds import create topics are much more than the real topics, and my members werent able to view what really NEW POSTS, from REAL MEMBERS were made, as the list was flooded with hundreds and hundreds of feeds. I can finally run 2.2 on my server. I have been so frustrated with it and not being able to run it I kind of took the siggy thing to far and for that I am sorry. I am how ever so happy I can run 2.2 with out any errors like I was getting. I am so happy I am jumping for joy now to see what this system can do hehe. (w00t) :thumbsup: You know all it took to fix it was to upgrade to php 5.2 and thats the only change I made to make it work.
