   Purchase of IPB 1.3.1?

   I know that it was taken off of the download markets a long time ago now, but I am very used to the Admin CP, aswell as everything else (Index Page, etc.), So I wondered if it is possible to purchase a version (legally of course) as I am so familiar. Obviously it would be the IPB 1.3.1 Final as that is the most secure version, but, I would like to try purchase a copy nonetheless. If it is not available for purchase, is it available for legal download anywhere else? I remember a friend of mine saying there was a website with legal rights to distribute it for free (download). ~Pavhead.

   I think the skin diffs you provide with updates are unneccessarily hard to use. For example, you can easily miss some changes because of the amount of text (sometimes serveral screens wide) and the subtlety of some changes. Couldn't you mark all lines containing changes somehow? Also, the fact that the removed parts are still displayed in the normal text makes it impossible to copy/paste whole passages into own skins. Why don't you display the differences like for example Wikipedia does, with the new and old text next to each other? Considering the frequency of new versions and the amount of changes in each, this would probably save me and other people with custom skin…

   Hi, How does the IPB Conversion Service work? I mean, I use a cms portal and I'd like convert my users and forum structures to IPB. So if I pay for this service what do I have to do? Do I need to send Invisionp. a database backup or do I need to give access to the database, ftp etc. (can be a problem with language since it's not English)? thanks

   Hi all, I'm a client since yesterday :) And I know the IP Board since 2003 but I only decided to become a client yesterday. It's amazing the speed of the support. I opened 2 support tickets yesterday, the first one was about a problem when I was trying to import a language pack and the second was a question about backup versions. Both were resolved by Jason. The support's quality is excellent! I'm suggesting to my friends who run a board to move it to IPB too. That's excellent. Congratulations IPB Team!

   Hi, I have a suggestion for the Client Center's download page: Could you guys maybe add a line in small font, for the main downloads ( IP Board, Gallery etc. ) with the date it was last updated on? That way we can see if we need to redownload it Hope this is possible. :)

   Help With Setting Domain To Default NameServers!

   Okies, So i love the quick customer support replies and such, But I've got my IPB installed and even my HTML/Website is all uploaded but Jason says the only thing left for me to do is to let my domain resolve properly. Apparently i need to set my default nameservers to such and such. I won't name the servers incase their unique to me or something or its private. So, I've tried everything in my cPanel and my Client Center and i can't find anything on how to change the default name servers nor have i found anywhere where theres any options to. If someone can guide me as to where or what i need to do then this would be greatly appreciatted. I've submitted a report ticket…

   In early May, I opened a ticket stating that whenever I open a ticket, the time displayed in always shown as 5 hours ahead. I did this more of a matter of curiosity. I did agree that this was of little importance as it did not affect the ticket and the ticket could be given the lowest of priority. Today while downloading from the client centre. I checked the status of the ticket. It was marked closed with a status of SPAM. I was never notified. I am bewildered why it was considered SPAM. Today I opened another ticket on a different matter at 11:30 AM EDT. The following is a partial screen shot of the ticket. It shows the time as 4:30 PM EDT - a difference of 5 hours. I…

    IPS Beyond E-Mail Rejection

    Firstly, I'm not sure where to post this, so I apologise if the topic is in the wrong place. I've forgotten my IPS Beyond password (my own fault), and, am unable to reset my password as my e-mail host's server rejects the incoming messages. Here's the appropriate e-mail log entries - The server can receive e-mail from these forums (Invision Power Services) without issue, as seen in these log entries - I'm not sure if there's anything that can be done to prevent this problem occurring in the future, but I'm guessing other mail servers will reject IPS Beyond e-mail in a similar way.     2.3 issue - display name replaced with email add for new users

    We have upgraded to 2.3 - looks great - many thanks. we logon using our email address not display name. 2 users have reported an issue I have never seen before so suspect its due to 2.4 upgrade. they registered new accounts and their display name selected was not used but replaced with their email address. you can't register an account like this - even by accident (I tried) so suspect its a bug, but am not sure.     Need more solutions to combat forum spam and bots

    There really needs to be more options to help stop forum spam. Here's a few of mine. They have IP blocklists for other types of software.     Some of our members have a habit of inserting lots of linebreaks after the quote section and at the end of the message. Makes posts unnecessary long. Suggest these linebreaks are removed when posting messages. (Linebreaks at the end of the message are currently removed if you just open and close a message for quick edit.)

    It would be great if logo4.gif could be replaced n there be text, which could be anything that was entered during the install process or to whatever it was changed to from the acp. Just like in mambo n other cms, the name of the site appears on top instead of a gif image which everyone cant edit. :)

    Okies, I tried paying for my invoice just a few seconds ago but something happened. I got the confirmation page thingy from the PayPal and all and when i clicked on return to IPS site and such it says in a red box: the following errors were found: Error detecting gateway I used Paypal for it. It's all fully verified and such and there's plenty of money in the bank. I did everything right and followed all on-screen instructions. Please, I would like this resolved ASAP.     I was wondering, How about in the next version of IPB/IP.Board we have the options to add/change/edit as many Custom Avatar Galleries we wish? We can currently do it already, BUT with a bit of a code/script or whatever you want to call it. However, I think it would be alot easier to do and handle if you made it a General Setting in the ACP Home. Watcha think? Im sure it would benefit alot of IPB Forum Administrators here.     I have three questions to ask about the new IPB 2.3 forum 1: Is it possible to totally delete the new skin (dark one) from the board or is it hard coded into the forums files. So your just left with the old default blue one. 2: In the "/sources/" folder, what should the CHMOD permission be set too on this file: ipsclass.php And what should this file be chmod to also in the "/skin_acp/IPB2_Standard/acp_skin_html/cp_skin_global.php" Becuase I got an error file produced in my admin folder which I just noticed.
