Problem With IPB Demo

Sorry if this is the wrong place but I cant see anywhere else to ask for help. I started the demo about 4 hours ago and occasonally it would ask me to log in again because my IP address couldn't be verified. About 30 mins ago it has stopped letting me log in altogether, I can't access the Admin CP because when I log in it takes me back to the log in screen again, and when I try to log onto the forums then it takes me back to the main page as a guest. Is it a problem with the demo, the software, or am I cursed :lol: . Thanks for any help / advice you can give me!

Someone posted the quoted message on a competitor's site. Some people were saying "Wouldn't this be better suited for IPS's site? While others said "IPS doesn't like discussing competitor's software on their forums. So I did something I don't normally do, I logged into this site to post this message to see how IPS would actually react.

anonymous stats

Greetings Since there is now a nice option for us in ACP to choose whether to allow anonymous login, I think it would be better, once we opt for no anonymous login, that the anonymous stats also disappear from the board stats at bottom. It serves no purpose to show '0 anonymous members' all the time. Many thanks.

When someone adds a reply to a topic, can his Reply button on that topic be disabled? So he can use Edit instead. And can this feature be enabled or disabled and every group can have permission to bypass the option or not??

Ok, so this might not be much of a suggestion but it certainly makes the board look tidier for guest viewing Basically if allowing guests not to view images, smilies arent shown either (just an ugly style_images path) Perhaps for a later version there should be an option to seperate this so that smilies are still parsed but images arent. :) [offtopic] Im going to try to see about making a mod that does this [/offtopic]

Hi, im new IPB, but I really want to switch. I use http://invisionfree.com for my forums, which is pretty simple to use and get the forum up and running. Before I buy a forum from here, I was wondering if it is pretty easy to get up and running? If not, are there any guides to help me get the forum running?? Thanks for the help.

I am really really unhappy about the situation here. In the past i bought a license, because of the good service and the possibility to get modification for cash. Earlier i was paying here for a mod. Extended terms and conditions policy I just thought it would be a good idea to add a secondary terms and conditions to the terms and conditions. By default this would be disabled and enabled if there was a need to add a secondary terms and conditions. If I have lost anybody I shall explain in a little more detail. As a standard you have the terms and conditions when you register a new account with the community board, you therefore, have to tick the box to continue with the registration. I thought it might be a good idea to add a secondary terms and conditions (if desired) to adhere to again, then the new member can register their account. I

I wasn't going to bring this to the forums but I believe its gone too far. So here is my feedback A few days ago my site was shut down. After 2 days of never being contacted I decided to contact my host. They replied telling me to email CopyrightClaims@godaddy.com. After a few hours they emailed me back with the letter from IPS. Our license had expired a week before all this happened, so I thought that might be it. I then remembered that when it expires I just don't get support or upgrades. I emailed IPS about the claims. As per this discussion over at IPSBeyond: http://www.ipsbeyond.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=26773 Please try and make sure the make_profile_link code is used wherever member names are displayed, so that there is one single location where changes to that HTML would be made to affect member names throughout the forum. As a matter of fact, since it is HTML that is being returned, would it make even more sense to use an All Global HTML skin template for this instead?

Here is an idea that might be simple to implement. I was looking at a post earlier for support that to me seemed like a server issue instead of a IBP issue. Whether or not it was, someone noted you can do a database check from within the ACP which of course, couldn't be accessed.
