Here is an idea that might be simple to implement.

I was looking at a post earlier for support that to me seemed like a server issue instead of a IBP issue. Whether or not it was, someone noted you can do a database check from within the ACP which of course, couldn't be accessed.

So here is something I would like to see implemented into the IBP products (at least the mains of IP.B, IP.D, IP.N)

A HTML document that checks the following as a diagnostic. It has to be HTML, because if PHP for some reason becomes corrupted, it won't run at all.

1) That PHP is running correctly (outputs something simple)
2) That it can connect to the SQL server
3) A further diagnostic could check for things like Zend or the GD image setup.

That way, if the board showed an error, and the diagnostic was run by the adminstrator, they could correctly notify their host (in those cases) instead of IPS.

Your request is impossible, because HTML files are not server side. Therefore, "it has to be HTML" automatically means it can't do anything you just asked for.
