Currently no moderation options at are are available when searching threads and posts, this can be pretty annoying considering that if you were to search for a spammer's threads to delete them you'd have to go into each and delete them separately, same goes for spammer's posts. I think it would be useful to show mass moderation options on search pages since it would make it a lot easier to get rid of multiple spam posts and threads.

Let users see what their friends are doing. This is best accomplished through feeds. Check out facebook user feeds. Their traffic went rapidly up after installing user feeds.

I know this has probably been asked a billion times, and may already be in IPB 3, but I have to say this just in case it's not on IPB 3's feature list yet. Please make it so members can report PMs and the PM will be shown in the report center to anyone who has the permissions to see it, would make dealing with PM abuse and spammers SO much easier, having to check the database to find/confirm Buddhism PM spam gets a little old after the first couple times. :ermm: Also, IPB 3 needs a "delete all PMs sent by user" feature. :sweating:

Integrating IPB3 with my site is really, really important. I've been working on it, as a project, for the current IPB for a few months now (lots of data entry in between). I'll be done with it by late October. The problem is, that's a TON of hard work I've put in, and I'm not sure how IPB3 will handle things. Right now, I'm using something called Inferno to create custom blocks, to pull data from my forums. I don't think Inferno is being updated anymore, since the website is no longer up. My question is...will IPB3 have something new for us to create custom blocks and slip them into our websites? I was hoping it wasn't just for a homepage, either...but for any p…

Turn certain features on/off in 3.0?

Any hope for a way to toggle certain features on and off via the ACP in 3.0 on the editor, such as the "Quick Access box" below the emoticon box (and or the emoticon box for that matter but separately) and the "Insert Special Item" drop down for those of us that don't want or need them? Hi we have a lot of boards and everytime they chnage board moderators Currently, we have to remove B.M. one by one, but when we have many boards and sub-boarss, it gets tiring could you add a function to "remove BMs under this board"....etc thanks :lol:

Can it be a link directory or link manager, please? Having a directory is a great way to show important resources. That being an important resource for many forums. Needs permissions, moderator like features, and of course descriptions.

Component Copyright

This is a issue that cropped up with IP.Tracker which i thought would make a nice addition to ipb3. In the components area (or however settings for components are now handled) add the ability to have a line in there called "copyright" which by default displays at the bottom of a component page with the rest of ipb copyright. Also have a area for example "version" which will sort of be a "nice" version name or just use the current one i guess. This should turn off if the setting of turning off your ipb version is selected. Have a Who Is Online feature built into the ACP instead of having to use the same one the board uses. I realise there is a link to the online list in the ACP, but it would be better if it was built in to the ACP.

Right now, the "forum led by" just lists who is assigned as a 'moderator'. Well, that doesn't work on very large forums like mine where SOME root admins choose to keep to one section of the forum (they're like the "leaders" of that section, they make the rules, they recruit moderators, etc. - but only in that section). And then we have global moderators also sticking to one or two sections primarily, and then there are the actual moderators. I'm asking for: - A better "Forum led by:" list. ALT Codes - Humf

Hello, Upon request, I'm making a topic regarding the ALT + 0160 ALT code being disabled in IPB3. I see no point in it, except to cause problems. It can be used to create a topic with a blank title, or a post which is empty. ALT + 0160 is an invisible space (why would you need that?!?) if it helps. Thanks

I know we are starting to see more information on the rep system but I just thought of something that sort of aggravated me on a site that has it. I know that sounds weird but "percentage" showings can be helpful but not at the same time. It doesn't really give me a goal to work towards and not being able to look it up is the same thing. All should be selections in the ACP. <_< [*]There needs to be a way to find out how many points to level. [*]There needs to be a way to look up members by level. [*]If it shows in Profile or in Post it needs to be a clickable link to one of the above. [*]Possibly an x/x field on mouseover instead or percent. (50/1000 etc)

We're currently using the WARN system as our reputation system already. Every member starts off at 0 and anything less is bad, anything more is good. So: -5 -4 -3 -2 -1 0 +1 +2 +3 +4 +5 A member at +5 is somebody who is REALLY good, and somebody at -5 is about to get banned (and has been suspended twice before) Of course, our current reputation system is operable ONLY be moderators ... and the "warn logs" are visible to everybody. What do we do when this reputation system comes in IPB 3 ?

I think it would be good if (when moving a topic and leaving a "Moved" link) , there was also an option available to remove this after a set time period. I suppose it could be either a global set limit (in the ACP for every forum) , ie remove the links after x hours. Or, perhaps selectable for each move operation (more flexible) , I just made a quick mock-up pic anyway... :)

I suggested this in a now closed thread but I thought it needed its own suggestion thread. I want/beg/wish you would add a link to the resources site to the components links in the right hand corner because its obnoxious to have to go to the index page to find the forum link or typing it in manually.

Hello. On the norwegian forum I'm a member they have this "function" called "my topics" (or posts) and is easy accesible in the left menu on the forum when you are logged in. It would be great if something similar could be standard in IPB! :D I will tell you how it works and translate some things. ;) (My translations is probarbly not the best, but hope you understand.) Thought I'll make a new topic as Brandon suggested. :D 1. Show how many users (Members, Guests) browsing each forum (like vB) 2. On the bottom of topic view, "X users are viewing ..." when you hover your mouse over a member's name, show the page number the member is viewing and maybe the IP as well on the tooltip. 3. A more detailed Online List, show which profile the member is viewing, etc.. 4. Link to unsubsubscribe from topic in the notification emails and unsubscribe link in topic view. 5. I run a high-traffic forum where tons of people post in the wrong forum, and a move is necessary. Also, we can't leave a link in the initial forum because it diverts traffic to the wrong topic (and people abuse it by posting in a high-traffic sub-forum in hopes of getting more visitors to their topic, etc). SO, I propose that moderators be allowed to automatically send a PM to topic starters of the topic they're moving. See picture:
