We're using warn system as reputation system - what to do in ipb3?

We're currently using the WARN system as our reputation system already. Every member starts off at 0 and anything less is bad, anything more is good.

So:

-5 -4 -3 -2 -1 0 +1 +2 +3 +4 +5

A member at +5 is somebody who is REALLY good, and somebody at -5 is about to get banned (and has been suspended twice before)

Of course, our current reputation system is operable ONLY be moderators ... and the "warn logs" are visible to everybody.

What do we do when this reputation system comes in IPB 3 ?

I guess you have two options then, either continue using the warn system as you are now, or start over with the new reputation system. You might be able to come up with your own converter, but we won't have anything like that.

Can we use both? (just wondering if that's possible? ... the "warn" system for moderator-given 'reputation' ... and the "reputation" system for member-given reputation) ?

Why didn't you think of a thing that will make the warn-system & the reputation system together? you could add some modules for admins / globals and actually to remove the warning-system.

Because, putting it frankly, thats pointless. Since when is the warn system meant to be used as a reputation system :) Its meant for warning people, and therefore a module tieing a moderator tool, and a 'stat' system wouldn't be logical at all.

... errr... ever since IPB never had a reputation system and we made the best use out of the "warn" system.

That comment wasn't directed at you, and I didn't have any issue with how you were using the warn system, the comment was at Jean asking IPS to make the warn system and reputation system as one, that wouldn't work.
