Include message text in PM notification

Hello! Would you consider adding a member option to include the actual PM text when receiving e-mail notification about a new PM, please? Several members have asked me of this feature. A bit more radical approach would be to not distinguish between PM or e-mail from the point of sender's view at all, but let the receiver choose whether s/he wants to receive PMs or e-mails or both, or PMs with notifications (without the message body) when being privately contacted by a member. Please anyone tell me about how can I increase my server's msg sending limit?? Is there any alternate method to increase msg sending limit at one go?? I want to import email addresses form mail providers like gmail etc and want to send invitation mail to all the selected contacts which can be more than 1000... Please help me... I got stuck in this unwanted situation....

Suggestion: Invisible directly after posting

I've a suggestion for a new feature for the IPB forum. Sometimes I've to make a topic and have to set it invisible, because other members of the forum doesn't have to see it (yet). But now you've to post this topic (or post) and after posting you have to make it invisible. Wouldn't it be better if the option "Make invisible" is added to the "After posting"-function? You can now lock, pin and by posts even move the topic, but I would like to see I can make it invisible directly after posting.

Requiring Ioncube for beta Issues

First thing is that Ioncube and xcache don't mix well. This reduces testing in the best single server cache/php acceleration tool. Also now with the hook/plugin system you can easily modify core code to do whatever. Is there any reason for this anymore? I can understand on the products that are not released at all aka nexus because people will try to use it on a live site. However it makes my life of testing miserable as ioncube not only slows down load times itself I cant even see what the system is actually putting into cache since I have to disable it.

I don't know if this is available in IPB 3 yet but what about the possibility of a printable post? We have the ability to make whole topics printable and you can make that work by just making the printer only print one page but I think it would be great just to print one post.. Uses? Rule violation for records (If you are the records keeping type) Recipes (If you are the cooking type) Announcements (If you are the date keeping type) etc.. etc.. Not any major uses. But it would be nice to have. But then again.. We might have this ability in IPB 2.4.X and I am just to dumb to notice it.. :P -- EDIT: Also, what about BBcode permissions? Say having BBcod…

Would like to see the ability to arrange your friend list ( Let's say you want to show 10 friends, have the ability to pick which friends will show ). Ability to customize "Custom profile fields" more specifically ( pick which shows in profile & pick which ones show in profile that only mods can see ) - Not sure If this is already there. More portal additions. And the biggest thing I would like to see is the option of being able to edit a member more, like instead of group color prefix have member color prefix.

I have this problem every time - and it's very difficult to find any information about how to upgrade versions - so can I suggest this important information is posted somewhere that makes it easy to find - or even better - have instructions in the upgrade files. Hello All, One thing our company is very frustrated right now with in regards to the forum software is the lack of ability to either invite users to join specific groups with special permissions or at the very least to be able to bulk add registered members to specific user groups. Right now anytime you want someone to have different user permissions you have to add each user individually. This is extremely time consuming for the administrator. As a school we want to use the forums to support our student body and we want to have our students in different user groups dependent on the class or workshop they are taking. I was noticing on my city's newspaper's site they have the current section you're in as a highlighted tab like IPB 3 has for its apps. But then below it they have another line which has links related to the section you're in. That would be nice to have. Have it where some setting in your app is set to 0 or 1 as to whether you need that extra line for links. Sure would help me make my apps look nicer if I didn't have to make my own link bar in the app itself. I'm not sure how it would look with this setup though. I am a moderator at an IPB forum, and we get our fair share of spam posts and reports. Every morning I check my messages inbox, which usually contains a few reports/complaints. Some of them have already been handled by other mods who reside in other places on the planet. But I have to check each and every message, and each and every reported link. I would like to report any actions I have taken back to the other mods, so they don't have to investigate each report. Similarly, I would like to get feedback from other mods on actions taken. So my question: is there a way to create a "group PM" address, that could contain all mods' IDs? Or is there another way to let oth…

All previous versions of IP.Board have had an "up" button in topics so you can quickly get back to the top of the screen. IP.Board 3.0 no longer carries this handy little feature. I know, I know, the "Home" key on our keyboards was put there for this very reason, but to have to take the hand off the mouse when that happens to be all your using to click and read for a while, just to push one button is just annoying, especially when we are all use to having that little "up" button.
