Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Yesterday at 02:04 PM
Estranged Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 I was noticing on my city's newspaper's site they have the current section you're in as a highlighted tab like IPB 3 has for its apps. But then below it they have another line which has links related to the section you're in. That would be nice to have. Have it where some setting in your app is set to 0 or 1 as to whether you need that extra line for links. Sure would help me make my apps look nicer if I didn't have to make my own link bar in the app itself. I'm not sure how it would look with this setup though. In my opinion it looks great on their site. They have a light color for the other apps, darkish blue for the tab you're active in and then that horizontal line of links below it is also the same color as the tab. To me it looks very nice on that site. Also in some cases on other pages when you hover over a link it has a very cool method for the dropdown. It kind of slides and the links in the dropdown are a horizontal row rather than vertical. The only dropdown type I know of in IPB 3 is acting very weird for me as it always opens upward for some reason.
