This has been brought up before. The ability to pick and choose which members to mass move/prune from search results in the member management area. This is a missing element that definitely needs to be included. Example: If an admin happens to have an onslaught of spammers joining during a specific time period and they wish to do something about those members, that in itself isn't so bad. But if in the middle of it all, a couple of legitimate members have joined, then it because more difficult. So I'm not sure how far, if ever, we're away from IPB having some kind of CMS system but in the intern, I was checking my board and see the portal has nearly the functionality of a CMS front page. What can be done to make it better function is having pagination at the bottom of the articles/posts where say <- 1 2 3 -> number '1' is the first page and '2' is the second listing of posts and so on. Also manual page breaks like drupal in the posts to tell the post only to display up until the <!--page--> break. This of course wouldn't be visible on the post when viewing the thread. What do you guys think????

I think its been suggested before IPB 3.1 was released and the fact was it wasn't going to be made as IPB 3.1 was in the making. Now 3.1 is there any chance of having the option to email a complete pm convo emailed to the persons in said pm? While talking to a member on my board he asked if i could email him a copy of the convo which i was confused about. He himself is a vbull forum owner and maybe they have this option. Im sure other members on here would agree on this.

Many times my users ask me as admin to edit their forum settings. Currently, thats very limited. It would be nice if admin could see their settings as user sees them. :)

Hi there On our forum we lock certain forums to members until they reach a certain post count (mainly the classified section), now the problem we have is that a lot of new members try and cheat the system by spamming the forum to get their post count up. As a mild punishment we remove posting ability for a day or so using the Warn system and also deduct a certain amount of posts from their total post count. However the only way to do this is via ACP, which means my moderators can't do such a task and has to get passed onto me, which kind of defeats the point of having a moderator. I just thought i give some feedback how i am doing with the IPS suite. I bought IP.Board and all the Addons in October 2009. By the end of october i relaunched my site. I am now using IP.Content for my traditional (not static anymore) sites and the rest for the community aspects. Since using IPS Software on my website i have seen an significant increase on my traffic: But not just the numbers are rising also is the activity on my site. To prevent members from disrupting an established site, it would be nice to be able to tie the ability to delete a message with the time limits set upon editing. This would prevent members from going through all their posts and deleting them before leaving in a huff. (And in return, preventing a ton of work for the Staff in restoring those deleted posts.)

Why is it that when I go to different pages on my IPB site that the most important part of the title is at the very end of the title? The name of a gallery image, the name of a post etc. I'm not interested in Site Name - > Gallery - > Page Content I'm interested in SEO which is what I thought this new version was going to improve upon. In fact I was rather amazed that it was like that when I purchased it IPB, but then there was so many other positive things I thought surely that would get taken care of. When will it be changed? Please improve the management of moderated posts and topics. I'd prefer to see an area within the ACP that allows me to view ALL posts that are awaiting moderation. I currently have one post that's flagged for moderation (per the statistics displayed in ACP), yet none of the forum listings shows anything in that regard. We need a centralized management area that allows us to deal with moderated posts without having to rely on something being displayed in forumhome.

I think about a new hook point. When user save his settings in profile is nice to add a hook point. Why? Well, with this hook point, integration between for example frontpage and board will be nicer. I was wrote an application in Zend Framework for a main site and I need to integrate settings and profile fields like user IM accounts etc. between main two applications. Sync action can be executed when user changing his settings. PS. Sorry for my English :-)

I was on an old website of mine and thought up an idea for the user comments. is it posible to get other options in the profile comments such as reply to comment Quote in user's comments and report Reply could put the comment you are replying to in a quote box. Quote on users profile would post a quote box with the message you are replying to, and your reply on their proile page. report would be like any other report members can report a comment in their profile .

Hi, Would it possible in the future to run a private chat like this way (without being in the public chat) : . See if our friends are online in the bottom of the page (like Facebook), in order to choose one or several to run a chat ? . Run a private chat just by clicking on the name of a member, on the IPB home page for exemple in the "actives users", or by going to the profile of a member ?

I hope this is the correct place to boost your ego haha! I think IPB is incredible, and the fact it comes out with improved versions very quickly between each other is even more incredible. The fact you can turn something amazing into something more amazing just shows how amazing you lot are. Since I was a vBulletin user, I was used to a dedicated Resources website. So I was trolling the net and saw this: http://www.invisionpower.org/ It got me thinking... Why does Invision Services not have a dedicated mods website? I love IPB, and everything with it, but the mod section is kind of lacking. Thanks... :unsure:

I'd like an option to show the full topic in a single page rather than automatically paginating the topic display. The main reason for this is to be able to print the entire topic at one time but it would also let me use the browser's find operation on one page rather than using IPB's topic search. It also might be easier to read some topics if the entire topic is shown in one page. I think an "ALL PAGES" link in the pagination links would be good for this.

Hello. I've noticed that the Search setting View New Posts: Block Forums does not seem to be working properly when using Sphinx. No matter what forums I have selected, they all show up when a user clicks "View New Content". Currently I've fixed the issue with the following patch: File: /admin/applications/forums/extensions/search/engines/sphinx.php Line: 634 Change: Added: $this->sphinxClient->SetFilter( 'forum_id', $_forumIdsOk ); Seems to be working just fine.

We are aware that some users are experiencing an error with the beta release of IP.Chat when trying to launch the chat room [#CJOIN-0] There was an error connecting with the chat room. Currently in 3.0.5 i can add only one email board address to inform me of new registration. However it would be great if we can add more than one email address so that other Admins and Mods can get email notifications as well when a new user registers. 3 would be nice :)

You can either set a rank image or the number of pips. How about being able to set a rank image and the number of times to repeat the image? In most cases it'd just be a different colour pip. Attached an image for example (pretend the last set of pips are all the same image ;)). If you wanted to do that currently you'd have to save 4-5 images for each set of pips with 1 star, 2 stars, 3 stars, etc. for pips beyond the first set.

My board was upgarded from 3.0.4 to 3.1.0 yesterday and boy.......smoothly it went as ever ' alt='' class='ipsImage' > No single problem with any default features. I had only one small issue with my custom skins, but it was a matter of changing one very same piece of code across all of my custom skins, so it took me 15 minutes. Surely, the hooks, which employ .php files edit had to be adjusted, but that's about it. Great job, guys ' alt='' class='ipsImage' >

[*]When I reply to a topic, then click on VNC it then shows up on page 3 of VNC. A few minutes later it starts showing up earlier in the list of VNC and eventually it bubbles to the top of VNC. [*]The topics I have read still show up in VNC, eventually they no longer show up in VNC, but it seems to take time. My settings are set to only show New Content I have not read. Is it working correctly? :unsure:
