Username styling should be a default feature in IP.Board, not one that I have to edit source files to achieve. Can't imagine this being too difficult to implement... it'd just be nice to have an on/off switch for the various areas of the forum.

I'm absolutely desparate for a tool that would enable me to split a single post into two or more posts that can then be moved into different topics or forums as required. (Note that I said "split a post", not "split a topic".) I'm forever seeing members (particularly newbies) posting several different topics within just one post. What then typically happens is other members reply to each different topic within that post and you end up with an entire topic full of several different threads of conversation. I'd like to give my mods the power to delete spammers posts (people we mark as spammers using the ACP) - however, to do this at the moment I have to grant my moderators global delete privs (not something I want to do, to protect myself from a mod going rogue). Would it be possible for moderators to be able to delete posts and topics ONLY for marked spammers? Thanks, Shaun :D

Hi, So i've been a customer for about 2 years now and only really just started using my license as I converted from phpBB to IPB but i've found the support to be slow as it seems you have to wait for the guy who was assigned to your ticket(?) which is fine but after 1pm I get no more updates/news but today I havn't heard anything and my forum is completely unusable which is making more and more members leave by the hour. Don't get me wrong, I love what you guys do and I respect you for it, always have and always will but at this rate i'll have no members left to use my IPB license :(

Sorry to say this but I don't like the new ACP search. It looks pretty slick but what I'm finding is if I need to scroll down the window to try and find what I'm looking for I can't actually select anything before the window vanishes on me. Are other people having this issue? It's fine if what you want to select is at the top of the window. Try this. In the search field type in "User". When the window appears, scroll down then try to select something from the bottom of the window. I can't select anything as the window disappears.

I went through since I was annoyed with how slow queries were to the conv_link table. This may not help small forums, but with the current forum I am converting pushing five million entries in the conv_link table it really helps. 1.) Add an index to the type field. This has the immediate effect of going from looking at all entries in the table to just the type being search for. This cut queries down from 2 seconds down to 0.2 seconds. 2.) Change foreign_id from varchar(32) to int(8). This cut the query time down from the remaining 0.2 to 0.0006 seconds. First let me state that I am very happy with my migration from vBulletin 4. However, I would like to suggest attention be made to consistency between apps. For example, to turn off IP.Content the choices are: System Online? Yes No But for IP.Gallery the choices are: Turn Offline? Yes No So to have both my gallery and content online I must select YES for the first and NO for the second.

I think having more alerts, preferably in the support area would be nice. For example, I didn't know 3.1.2 had a registration problem until 2 members notified me. If I had an alert system I would have fixed it sooner. Just a suggestion.

My apologies if this has been posted elsewhere. I couldn't find a specific topic about it. Let me begin by saying the "Edit Permission Set" page is pure misery, if you have a lot of forums. I can't believe that every iteration of IPB has gone from bad to worse with this one page. It used to be that it was difficult to manage multiple forums on this page, but at least they were broken up into categories. It would be great if you can implement a search function in Admin Control Panel in order to search words trough the language packs.It's a pain to discover that a word you didn't translated corectly and to find manually that word trough hundred words.It's a time consuming process, and many times you miss the word. Hello, Feature to stop DDoS attacks,screencapture which will ask user to enter specified text from gif file,same as when user register new account. The feature should be switched to on/off from ACP. User must enter text once per session. DDoS scripts are usually unable to detect text on gif file. Forums become DDoS victims often since they are ideal kind of sites to overload the server. Is it possible?

I am getting members/spam that sign up, do not post and spam people via PM. My mods have IP Address viewing turned off as well as other mod features restricted (not global mods) and as such can not ban via the member profiles. Because of this they can not flag spammers since they have never posted and have no post to flag. I am sure I am not alone in needing an ability for mods to be able to do this -- and also not alone in that I do not want my mods to have member private information such as IP addresses (as well as other more dramatic mod functions). Can we enable this for forum mods to have access to flagging spammers via profiles?
