I think it would very very useful to allow an input type of "date" for the custom fields. Specifically, a little calender that would allow folks to click a day and then input the properly formatted date (people mix this up all the time and is a nightmare if you do not do it this way). Thoughts?

Right now the topic review is only available when you click into a forum. I think that when you hover over a topic on the forum homepage, the preview box should pop up as well. What do you guys think?

Hi, I upgrade my IPB forum to the v3.1.3 and when I try to merge two topics and paste the URL of the second topic gives me error, but instead of copying the URL, put only the ID of the topic works properly. Sample if paste this: http://www.mydoman.com/forum/index.php?/topic/229867-error-al-intentar-unir-temas-10389/ no works, but if paste only this: 229867 Works OK Thanks and sorry for my english.

I was happy so far with all features that were integrated into IPB by default but now I noticed I really miss one feature which is called: pin first post in topic so when you switch pages it would always display that first post. Why is it important? If we talk about meets or we have some kind of group buy, all important stuff would be lost or users wouldn't open first page after a while. So to stay always on top SMF has pin first post which on every pages comes always first. I think that would be also very useful to other members as well.

Why was the quick stats left out of the ACP, after upgrading to IPB 3.1.3? It was a nice little feature to have when an Admin can see all the information in once place or quick click to get some where.

Hello, inserting multiple attachments is not user friendly. Uploading works flawlessly, but if i press the "Add to post" button at each attachment to insert the code into the text window, the code of the previous attachment gets always replaced. Please make the feature work like with inserting emoticons, you can add here multiple ones in a row without having to unmark the previous inserted emoticon code. Well so far I'm very happy to have joined IPB. I have two boards and got one going with quite a bit of nice customisation. The support is extremely excellently good both by staff via tickets and on this board. :thumbsup: Very very impressive. :thumbsup: Of course I like the software or I wouldn't have bought it. On almost every count it beat VBulletin bigtime. The admin cp is worlds better so much better to navigate with the tabs above AND a side menu. Hello there! First of all, this is not a major problem, just a question. So IP. Gallery 4 was announced a while ago. To be hones I was a bit shocked about the version-number at first. I thought that the steps would be minor, so like "IP. Gallery 3.3 -> 3.4 -> 3.5..." and IP. Suite 4 would be a major recode. It seems I was wrong. No problem there, but I must say that the different version numbers may be and are partly a bit confusing to me and (other) newcomers. Are there any plans to bring all application-versions more in line to each other? Regards, Ikadon

My forum is a small community but i am working hard. I love IPB and will always with you guys but i saw that there is an option to upload the profile picture only but there is no other option to add the URL of the picture to add your profile pictures. My forum is about movies so my members love to play with pictures & use them in their signatures, avatar & profile picture. So i would like to have a new option to add your profile picture by URL just like in avatar Option. Thanks for your Nice software. Hoping to see this setting soon.

Hello! I am wondering what you guys would think of having status updates bump as they're commented on (just like a topic will automatically bump when someone make a reply). I think "active" statuses should stay visible, or at least have an option so this could be possible.

As we have numerous private forums, I disable sharelinks from these forums so that people don't mistakenly expose them. Unfortunately, though, this prevents people from using the download and print links. It would be nice if download and print were not part of the sharelinks option so that we can disable sharelinks, but still enjoy the ability to download and print.

It would be useful to have topic notifications use sfurls if they are enabled. The goal of seo is to present one standardized url to the public. Those who use sfurls don't want other link structures, that may be copied from an email notification, posted so that the search engines will find it.

Hello IPS, Two simple questions: - When logging in with Twitter Connect, you are asked to manually enter an email address. If User Validation is set in the ACP, shouldn't the email address entered during this type of registration be validated by the board? Facebook Connect seems to provide IPB with the user's email address (which was already validated by Facebook). I suggest adding Android detection to the User Agent settings area so that people browsing on Google phones can be shunted to the lo-fi version the same as iPhone and iPod Touch people.

Okay. I think I mentioned this when the notifications system was first put in but I'd like the original PM notification system back (just like on the 3.0.5 version). BUT I only want to be able to enable this for PMs and not ANY other notification. I would also like the original template back, the one with the avatar and whatnot. I think the best way to implement this is to add another column for "Inline Popup" because a blanket option just doesn't work for me. I don't want to see the popup for friend notifications, quoted posts, status replies or anything like that I just like the old popup for PMs with a blurb of the PM and the person's information right there. I believe a lot of people over time have asked IPS to make sitemap creation a core feature. Yet I reiterate this once more. As you know CSEO was rendered useless, CSEO itself realized that and closed its doors. It seems that IPS really picked up on SEO but one thing is left unattended - sitemap creation. I know that at least 3 mods exist to serve that function to some extent. Why IPS can't create a sitemap generator so it would have a complete package for SEO. So the end-user wouldn't have to do anything in regards to SEO stuff.

Since Thursday evening, email notifications to me and also to my alternate have stopped on this board/server. I do know it is not a 3.1.3 board problem as it is working on my board. I have sent a PM to my alternate account and that does not work either. This problem has occurred in the past and Lindy fixed.it. It probably only happens to some of us like before. It seem to start after whatever problem occurred Thursay evening to this server.

Right now the ability to reply to closed topics is based upon group membership. Wouldn't this be better suited as a moderator ability, or to at least offer the option, so that we can specify who is allowed on a forum basis rather than globally?

The title says it all really. Can a feature be added that notifies a user when they are replying to a topic, and someone else posts a reply before you? Pretty useful feature that many forums would benefit from.
