Let's say I want a simple poll that asks do you prefer A or B? First I need to post a topic about it, then for the poll I need a title, then I need a question. So now three times I am asking if you prefer A or B. Seems redundant.

EX0 error on vieving payment methods in Commerce

Hi all Just did a test upgrade on our forum and I have to say that it went surprisingly well, as this is a rather large forum. First problem we ran into was the error "EX0 Something went wrong. Please try again." when we are trying to view Payment methods in Commerce (Commerce -> Settings -> Payment Methods). Any way of enabling some sort of debug mode to see the entire error so that we can investigate a bit. Kinda strange that most of the other stuff (Well, the stuff we have been playing around with. Think we have barely scratched the surface yet) seems to work, but not this.

Hello, I enabled Convert friends to followers when upgrading from 3.4.7. Guess what I got? See below. The problem with the new system is that, if you are following someone, you will get a notification of any content posted by that member (any content, including topics, posts, comments, status updates, etc...). So if I had 1000 friends in 3.4.7, that means I'm having 1000 followers in IPS 4.0, and everytime I post something, there are 1000 notifications to be sent. And I'm not the only one who post things, certainly! This is, I believe, the origin of many background processes of my forum, as shown above. IPS 4.0 vs IPB 3.4.7 - Performance - New Relic

Just to check if someone noticed this also. Some charts using New Relic on my server with average response time of IPB 3.4 and IPS 4.0. IPS4 seems to have a much higher average response time, 10 times higher in fact. This on the same server using the same database and the same resources. Can someone replicate this?

Well, suddenly today I was going into the URL I've been using in the past few weeks when it suddenly stopped working: http://community.invisionpower.com/forum/491-ips-community-suite-40/ From what I've seen, you've been changing some stuff in categories, and I've lost orientation on some of the topics I was reading. What about a General Discussion category for IPS? For example the suggestion for this category I guess it doesn't fit the Company Feedback neither the Product Feedback. Hi, The moderator toolbar looks like this: The last button is for Delete. I thought that was a Close (the toolbar) button the first time I used it. What do you think about replacing it with a Trash icon?

[BUG] New content "only content I follow" filter doesn't work

I would post it in the bug tracker, but I don't have permission. In the "New Content" page, when the content type is set to "All content", the "Only content I follow" filter doesn't function. If it is restricted to only topics, it appears to work.

I do not know why but sometimes I cannot reply a topic. I press "Reply to this topic" and an editor appearing. But there is no cursor in it. I click on the editor, try to type a message and nothing happen. Have to press F5 to refresh the page and get it work. Does anyone have this issue?

Hey, I just want to say what a great job the IPS team are doing at the moment. Not only are you always here on the forums interacting with people, but you have always been very, very, very speedy when I have requested support lately. Since updgrading to the RC I have had so many support tickets & the team have responded within a few hours usually for each, they have also fixed any issues in future RC releases & applied temporary fixes for anything major. As someone who doesn't know much about software development etc. You have made my life a lot easier by providing so much help and assistance. This seemed to important not list separately. I took a look at plugins and could not find one that displays only post count - perhaps I missed it. I only found something called "Top Contributors" -- IPS explains this as "Best Contributors" which is really "Top Reputation". This will probably not apply to new sites since earning "reputation" takes time. Content count is still very important to motivate users to post. While I'd prefer it for each module, e.g. forum, gallery, articles, it has to be present in some form or another, whether or not it counts all the content on the site as IPS does now. Hello. Anybody have any ideas how can make a wider personal communication between members of forum? To find a needed contact, ask a Question, find a specialist. Make IPB more social platform. Guys, when I upgraded to RC, 90% of attachments on my board were not inserted correctly into posts. All attachments are still there, only the link to them is wrong. Can download them normally through ACP. I did open a ticket 15 days ago, but it is too slow. If somebody can solve this, I'll pay

Quick summary: Just wondering if Designers Mode is absolutely necessary for simple tasks. Feel free to move this topic if it isn't in the correct forum - wasn't too sure where to place it since it relates to 4.x feedback. Unfortunately due to many complications with Designers Mode during the beta's, I haven't been able to dive into the new theme system enough yet, however I have a few concerns which may impact development times for theme designers. The first being the fact that Designers Mode must be enabled to upload resources (via FTP) and add settings. Since the launch of 4.0, I have reviewed the new member profile layout several times. I have concluded that the development team made some logical decisions on why to show this or that, and also why it was important to remove other items. I want to reset and try again. IS there an official try again guide somewhere? 1. Do I need to do anything to the web files or can I just chug n plug with a DB restore? 2. Should I delete the whole DB and restore from backup or can I just restore into the DB as is?
