The product is quite good (when it works) but I am really angry about the Support which is useless. As a customer since 2011, I have raised 6 technical supports but only 1 was solved with their help. Here are the answers for the 5 others... November 2012 - Backup question June 2013 - ACP crashes January 2014 - Malicious code injection No answer except, found the solution by myself then: November 2016 - Login/logout issue November 2016 - SSO issue

3 suggestions involving tags. First, the ability to check a bunch of posts, then using the mod cp add or remove a given tag / tags to all selected posts would be nice. I imagine the icon toolbar that comes up when posts are checked (pin, feature, move etc) could gain a + sign that brings up a tags list, selectable to add or remove. Second would be a tag formatting option in the theme: Button colors, tag colors. Third would be a check box next to all the topics that show up when you click on a tag to search for more of the same tag. That would allow mods to search a board by tags, then check all the posts with that tag and move them all to a single location. …

Like my Feedback in July 2010 (Security Problem on the "Share this link via Email" Page), we now need a captcha for the "Report" forms. I get a lot of spam messages from spambots since yesterday - all bots reporting posts... :angry: So: Please add a captcha to the "Report" form(s)!

Now, when a moderator warns a member, the member gets a notification ONLY by email. I want to send notification also the built-in notification list. Please add something like this to list for member notifications.

I would like to ask the development team to make a change in regards to ignored members posts, status etc. Would it be possible to not display anything related to ignored members, such as notices in the topic stating that 'You have chosen to ignore' message. This kind of defeats the purpose of the whole point of putting someone on ignore. I generally give advice to my members to put people on ignore if they feel that they are being targetted by trolls, however, I was unaware that they could still see notices of ignored users posts and this has caused some friction between some of my members. Here's a nice way to do it: https://features.cpanel.net/topics/idea/status/all/category/all/sort/trending/page/1 It allows voting for/against, discussion and each suggestion is tagged in a way that you know what status the featue request is in. It's also a nice addition that when you start typing your suggestion, you are already presented with a list of similar suggestions which means less duplicate discussions.

I was just posting a topic on some forum and found a great feature. When you start typing the topic title, the board automatically starts searching topic titles of existing topics with similar content and lists them below (latest at the top) as suggestions. This is a great way to prevent duplicate topics for the same discussions and I believe would decrease the work of moderators while at the same time provide a very cool and useful feature for users. It's so simple yet so useful, I just went: Wow, I wish IPS had this.

It would be great, if IPS handled adding images the same way across all apps. For example, when I add an image to Gallery, I can put some extra text as description for that image. If I were to use that image in an article or post, I have no option to display that description (caption).

In creating events on the calendars, something that would be incredibly useful when creating duplicate events instead of recurring events. In the drop down menu under Manage Event, if there could be a duplicate event and then you simply enter a new date and the calendar would create a duplicate post on the new date selected. Also there is a strange glitch in the Event Stream view, the dates get all out of order. Thank you for your consideration. Have a safe and Happy Holiday season.

If you have your app with some data-controller (and js file in right place inside /application/<app>/dev/...) then when you download app with rebuild current version and then upload it to production forum - then js in this app is not rebuild. I sent a bulk email from my admin cp, and shortly after my server provider emailed me an abuse report listing for SORBS. As it turns out, the mailing list apparently doesn't have a double opt-in (where the user has to click a link in an email they get to verify they want to opt-in for emails before they start getting them) and as such gets referred as spam by SORBs. Is this something that will be added in a future IPS release? Because not being able to send mail can really put a damper on a community forum.... and apparently DOI is now a requirement that must exist in order to send mail without being flagged as spam or abuse.

Why do field list items from uninstalled apps not delete once the app has been uninstalled? I went browsing through my core_member database and there's tons and tons of field list items from applications previously uninstalled and from applications uninstalled years ago. Is this and issue with just my distribution or do they not actually delete?

I feel this might be a good feature for a future release. I would like to see Custom Profile Fields able to be Usergroup specific. I would like to be able to create a Usergroup, then create a Custom Profile Field that only that usergroup (or any others specified) could see and fill out. (that would then display in their profile block when posting)

Hi in 4.1.16, Announcements can now be restricted by member group however Attachment types cannot? Need compelling reasons to convince people to pay for subscription. I would love ability to make the subscription selling point "Can upload video". (attachment types could be set in ACP per group) That's a compelling reason to upgrade. Right now there just aren't enough reasons to upgrade. I should actually have titled this thread "Need more reasons to sell as upgrade benefits" post/forum access is great but would like more things to offer paying subscription customers. I know, i know, submit a ticket. However I am still on demo board and I know the answer that demo boards are unsupported. So maybe someone can confirm that there is a bug with the way checbox profile fields are converted? On my 3.4 forum we have a custom profile field to select with checkbox countries we have visited. I have split it in countries per continent. So basically, I have 5 profile fields for America, Asia, Europe, Africa and Oceania. The data contained in the profile fields converts ok it seems. IPS Community Suite 4 does not appear to allow member management on a "per group" basis. Default notification settings currently apply to all users, and can override individual user settings. Useful improvements would be: 1) set default notification settings to be applied to all members of a particular group. 2) Admin option for whether individual notification settings are permitted override defaults, both globally and per-group. 3) set user permissions on a per-group basis If there's some way to accomplish any of that now, I sure can't find it -- maybe somebody can point me in the right direction.

Could we have some default date ranges for the admincp statistics section? I'm not sure "everything" is a very useful range to start with, and some quick links for 'last month', 'last year', etc, would be useful. And maybe the ability to browse back and forth by month and year, etc...
