It would be nice to add this addition on top of the current .gif and .png emoticons.

I would personally prefer that we could use Font Awesome for Forum Topic Icons rather than uploading images. Is there any chance we would have this implemented and give admins the choice between Icons or Font Awesome? Thanks,

I some times get the feeling that CMS is half done, or that something's could have been done much better. This is not a criticism, but an observation on my part. One of the area's I feel that has seen little attention and is sorely lacking is the 'Media' Manager in CMS. With a little time and effort this could help many users when it comes to using images within CMS (even within the whole system). On our site, we use CMS mainly for articles, news and other content related items. One of the things we seem to be doing over and over, is uploading the same images doing nothing more than creating duplicates of these images all over our server. I would really like to …

Having played around with 4.2 for a little bit now, one thing I am struggling with is creating an rss feed for club topics. I am not sure if I am just doing it wrong, or if there is another way of doing it, but when going to the RSS Feed settings, and selecting topics, the only list is from the forums, nothing from clubs. If there is currently no way of creating an rss feed for club topics, can this be added?

I posted this previously in the wrong area. This is more of a Suggested feature. Currently, if I press on the Next button I go to the Next Unread topic. I want to be able to go the the previous topic, regardless if it's read or unread: or the next topic, read or unread. So if I'm reading a topic, I can press the previous to go to the topic before this one (in sequence) or if I press next I go to the next one in sequence. Sort of like Before and After the Topic I am currently in. I've attached a concept graphic below: I alread have the "Start New Topic" hook installed and that is working fine. Thanks.

I finally realised why I dislike the expanded activity stream so much. It's because it's cluttered with too much trivial information. All it needs is something to break the information into more managable chunks. This is what I came up with with a few CSS tweaks and I really like it. As a reader I'm interested in the content but it doesn't stand out and my eyes wonder around. With this simple fix, I can see the posted content (text) immediately. What do you guys think?

It would be nice to be able to use IP Tools via the Active Users page by making the listed IP addresses clickable. :)

We have an issue that needs to be addressed on the Commerce module. When you building a store not always will the quantity be a whole number. Say for example health food store I would buy a 1/2 pound of sea salt. I wouldn't charge them a full pound because the commerce module doesn't allow a decimal value on quantity. Kind of like charging a hourly rate for a service you would need to be able to add a decimal point to quantity. So is there a work around for this? Is there a way this can be added to the future release maybe?

I would take the lessons learned from social media about smooth and fast functionality. Users don't want to have to title a photo.... maybe they just want to post it? Comments need not be in some big box...with a huge profile photo next to each comment..... A link on their username is sufficient to lead to their profile page. I would also make them "real-time" / "threaded" and "super-fast" (basically showing when someone else is typing.... thereby keeping people online to wait for someone replying. Some would reply that forum comments are "for the ages" and are somehow written "in stone" compared to social media..... (Baloney!!) I…

This has been a long standing major issue for myself with IPS, apologies if you have heard me moan before but I thought I'd run a little poll to see if this is just me, as to this day I still struggle to wrap my head around topic titles taking you to page 1 and not the first unread post. When 4.1 eventually added a user option for streams to go to the first unread comment, I was hopeful that 4.2 may have given us a setting to make the change board wide but sadly not, this kinda confuses me as why acknowledge the demand is there but only apply it to streams and not board wide? The "dot" is not user friendly at all, I won't ever accept that is no matter what the…

We need to be able to reorder a pinned list: as this list grows, and a community matures and changes, new priorities emerge. Being able to reorder a (for example) list of "please read these posts before you post" would be very helpful. Please consider adding this feature; ideally it would work like the present feature (available from the ACP) where the order of threads can simple be dragged to change. I would like that same utility inside a thread.

I'm looking at the topic page and thinking what we have here is a couple of things which are no longer required. 1) Start new topic - We have a create link at the top which gives you access to creating a topic quickly 2) Reply to this topic - Gone are the days where replying to a topic required a new page to be loaded with an editor, just seems kinda unnecessary now having the button there unless we're going for the retro look. You would hope that users would read the topic before replying in which case they will already be at the bottom of the page with the reply box. With the help of Photoshop here with have an artists impression of how much …

Avatar Crop 1 2

Is there really no way to disable the cropper, or at the very least allow it to change shape? It's hard-coded as a perfect square crop, but many forums these days utilize rectangle avatars that are longer than they are wide but it's impossible here because of the way the crop tool works. By default IPS has avatars set to rounded anyhow, but crops in a square. I'm not alone in wanting this to be able to be customized. Here is multiple people talking about rectangle avatars and attempting to make them work, but they end up looking like crap because they get cropped into a square and then stretched back into a rectangle given the current way avatars work: https://…

Let's say I have the "Trees" category, and in "Trees" I use the subcategories "Cedar", "Birch" and "Ash" to upload files. I would like to be able to browse all the items in these subcategories at once when I browse to the category "Trees". I could add them all to Trees and that's it, but I'd like to have a bit of organization, that's why I also use subcategories. Maybe add a setting to parent categories to show all items in their child categories? I think that is implemented in Pages.

Currently, there's no way to follow custom activity streams outside of using RSS readers. I think this would be a useful and extremely powerful addition to the suite. By allowing members to follow their activity streams, people can easily create custom streams for just gallery images or file submissions from their favorite authors, for example; or follow content containing specific tags of interests and so on.

Hello everyone, Would it be nice if there is a way to download blocks from the blocks page and put it on the marketplace so you can sell it and get profit of what you did inside the block content? Us theme developers and newbies starting to learn code work really hard by coding a lot of code inside the content and wanting to give that block meaning by putting it out and getting profit. Furthermore, if you agree with me on this, please give me your feedback on this and see if it might come out in the future.

The per-page limitation of 25 entries in the API is making coding harder on my side (need to go through all pages). If possible please allow to remove the per-page limit via request parameters (e.g. ?perPage=500).

So my forum has different account tiers with different benefits based on how much you pay per month. We also have free accounts obviously. Every now and then a user runs a contest or whatever and the reward is an account. Right now they have to pay for a gift code, send said person a gift code (which for some reason required an email), person to check email and get gift code and apply, use gift code to buy the account they won. This is overly complicated. I want to cut out all the middle steps if possible. Person wants to buy someone an account. They should just be able to type in the username, select the account they want (or account credit), and pay. The user …

I wanted to see if the reason my forum went offline was because you guys were upgrading but I'm on my phone and couldn't remember what my password was specifically. Accidentally locked myself out for thirty minutes. I got an email. I think you should add an "unlock" button to the email where you can unlock the account. I mean if someone already hacked my email theyd be able to use the forgot my password feature so it's not like adding a button would make me any less secure.

I understand that user-submitted content can't be translatable for security reasons. If a Club is created, then I get why the title and description aren't translatable. What about when I edit the Club in the ACP, though? Why can't those fields be translatable? The forced English when my site isn't displaying English is going to stick out like a sore thumb. Is there a reason that a field can't be translatable in the ACP but a standard text field on the front? Group Blogs behave like that, for example. (Though I'm hesitant to post that, in case it's an oversight and the feature gets deleted.)

Did something changed? I'm logged on my PC now. Then I'll go to my phone in a few minutes... I have to login there. Then one hour later I came back to the PC and I need to login again here. Loop! Annoying.
