Don't know if this is a bug or what but I turn the board offline to install a new skin, install the skin mark it as the default front end theme and check the offline status in the ACP and the button is now green again and the board is online even though I don't want it online yet as I want to check everything out before going live? Why is it automatically turning itself back online? If I remember right it also did this behavior when I upgrade to the newest versions. Thanks

i have commuuty in cloud so i already setup facebook logins but problem is twitter i followed the steps for setting up twitter logins but its rejected saying Twitter rejected the details provided. Hi, i'm new with managing a forum. I'm trying to change the url, but I still got the error : There seems to still be a installation of Invision Community at the URL on file. Before you can change the URL, you must first remove the existing installation. Should I remove the entire board? It seems a big job just for a url update... Thanks, Alex

Damn, i did something stupid. I merged an old topic to the new one..... Wrong way this old topic is very populair on google. Now the topic is gone and i wish i could undo this. I think you cant undo a merge. So i need to redirect the old URL to the new topic id / URL. How can i do this?! Hope there is someone with a Solution..... Regards!

Hello ! On my board, when I make a quote, I get a breakline inside quote : before and after the text. This forces me to edit the message to remove the breaklines each time I make a quote. Example : Is there a way to fix this ? Thank you.

Trying to duplicate their Bug Tracker for our forum: https://invisioncommunity.com/4bugtrack/ Pretty much everything working except for two things: When you click on Create New Bug there is a text box entitled "Writing helpful bug reports". How do I add a similar section to my "Create New Bug" page? In my Create New Bug page above the Title input box is a field that looks like URL: https://example.com/bug-reports-r# [Change] How do I get rid of this line? Probably this will require editing templates?

Is there a way to rename Clubs? I run a science fiction-based roleplaying community and we would rather rename Clubs to Factions or Organizations. (Factions preferably, but Organizations is okay). or just whatever we want to call it. Is there a way to do this?

I am modifying a 4.2 default skin and just discovered that the file placements are totally different in 4.2 than they were in previous versions. My board skin images were always in /public/style_images/skin name/image1.png There is no such folders anymore that I can find so where are the skin folder/files? Thanks for any help

I'm looking for something, even a paid plugin is good - I just haven't found what I'm looking for. I'd like to be able to add someone to a secondary group for special access for a pre-determined period (30 days, a year or whatever I want). Is there such a way and/or plugin to do that? Willing to pay to develop if someone can do it.

I must be missing something, but on my forum, when viewing posts and you see the user name next to it - where it says "Location" there's no space or colon or anything after it, it just runs into whatever they put for their location. Never mind! I found where I could edit the field name!

Got a weird problem If I add php/html into globalTemplate or create a block and add same code into it and then reference the block in globalTemplate then the code works and shows 100% using either option However, if I enter the same code into a new template and reference the template in globalTemplate then get error 'Something went wrong' (code EX0 and message UnexpectedValueException: (0) ) So can anyone explain why code works if using block or adding directly into globalTemplate but not if adding into new template ? Meant to add if I revert the globalTemplate so it is as per default (so there is no reference to new template) and remove the new templ…

Hi, I've recently upgraded from 3.4.5 to 4.2.7. I have thousands of subforums and while it has been less of a problem than what I imagined to deal with them for 4.2.7 in terms of loading the forum index, etc. I've just run into a tricky one using the ACP. My forum has a deep structure with few subforums at the top levels, and most of them in the deepest ones. Tonight I created a new subforum as a child of one the biggest ones, and when I went to reorder it, I got a nasty message: "Request-URI Too Long The requested URL's length exceeds the capacity limit for this server." After upgrading to 4.2.7 there are now two skins in the ACP Default 4.2 Which is the actual default IPB skin and which one should be deleted or do they both keep coming back after each upgrade? Thanks
