Alex Duffy got a reaction from Miss_B in Restricted moderators - Can See All Records - will not save checked
Thankfully Invision Support was able to deploy an updated configuration to the Cloud to allow these larger forms to work. They are going to revisit how this form works in v5, so it's still as powerful but not as huge.

Glad to see that the issue has been solved. Do you mind sharing the solution as it will help other members as well who might run into the same problem.

Alex Duffy got a reaction from Fosters in Member Lists Pro
I went to edit a member list this morning and encountered an error. I cannot make a new list either. Any help would be appreciated as we find this application very helpful. We are on cloud.

Alex Duffy reacted to All Astronauts in Speedy Search and Stream Results
There ya go. It's usually a week+ for approvals (for me at least) so right on time. Viewers users will probably need to wait until after the July 4th holidays for that update.
Enjoy searching and blowing stuff up (if one does that).
BTW, just throwing this old thing out there (I poked this months and months ago) in case it ever occurred to you:
Elasticsearch does have a similar to/spellcheck type feature. Like you misspell a word and ES will be like, you probably meant this one, and so on. It does work with Invision Community... after a fashion.
Long story short, a new, separate index would need to be created along with additional code changes in the indexing and query code to make it really happen. I could give you an option to enable it and it would work 100% right now with SINGLE WORD queries. The moment you add a second word (or more) to your search query it clown cars - everything is seemingly a mis-spelled word and the results returned are entirely property tax paying residents of loltown. Hence the need for the aforementioned changes above, which will not be happening.
I have, however, created the application version of this plugin. Haven't done anything else to it at all, but it is there, staring at me, from the Island of Not-Finished Applications, along with <gestures widely>... A few things from ye'olde Social Search will get folded in and barring this plugin not needing any updates to breaking changes, the next release will be that app, replacing this plugin. Just a replacement, not a new MP release or anything like that. You get an app, and you get an app, and...

They made some changes in the latest patch. Regardless, whenever the new version is approved this will always work as the cookies will be flagged as essential.

The single mark navigator was probably just hung up with a bad cache or something; all good now.
And with that, version 8.0.0 was submitted. Available when available...

Or just open the site in incognito mode (or anonymous/private/whatever your browser calls it). Accept the cookies. Click on a link to browse the site. Click to accept the cookies again. Click another link or just refresh. Cookie bar appears again (at least for me).

Without looking I'm betting it's all the cookie stuff that was rolled out in the latest version. Did you enable the cookie consent stuff?

I'm afraid this isn't possible. It is probably better to create this in Google Maps and then embed it into the event/marker/topic.

The new version is submitted and is currently pending approval.
I'd mention it again; All of you will need to sign up for a new API at Geoapify. Your current API key from Mapquest will not work.
-
Alex Duffy reacted to Martin A. in Community Map
I have settled on a new API provider to replace MapQuest - Geoapify.
Geoapify have a free tier with far more requests per day than MapQuest had. I have been in contact with them today, and there are no limitations to how we use the API, as long as you stay under their daily limit. That limit is 3000 requests per day, which should be more than enough for most of you. This is not a hard limit, but should you constantly go over the quota they will send you an email asking you to upgrade your account.
See more about that here: https://www.geoapify.com/pricing
I have converted all API calls over to Geoapify today. Just needs some more testing before I can give you an update.
Too bad the marketplace doesn't offer a way to do beta versions, or even have private testers... Can't really do a public beta version either, as the approval time for new versions can be up to a week.

Glad you got it solved 🙂
Regarding the API issues; I received news last night that MapQuest have (rather silently) decided to close all their "open" APIs, which sadly included the API used by Community Map. While there might have been possible to use other API endpoints provided by MapQuest, I will not do so because of how they've handled this and their lack of communication. I assume none of you got any news about this, even though they should be able to see that you are actively using an API that's about to be shut down.
As of the next update Community Map will not use MapQuest. I am currently exploring the possibilities to host this on my own, as there is a pre-compiled database available that doesn't have the same requirements as previously mentioned. I'm gonna check this out some more over the weekend, and I will hopefully have a solution within reasonable time.
