Grafidea reacted to Jim M in Support php 8.1
At this time, we have not fully claimed support for 8.1. Testing is still something which we have on our to-do list.

Grafidea reacted to Randy Calvert in Problem sending emails after update to beta 1
This is a known issue. It’s been fixed for the next beta release.

Grafidea reacted to Stuart Silvester in Badly read database version.
I see, I created a bug report for the suggestion to upgrade not being consistent between the requirement checker and the software itself.
In this case, this wouldn't be a bug. We display the database server version verbatim, this is exactly what the MySQL/MariaDB server tells us when queried.

Grafidea got a reaction from Ravion in Lazy Load forum section
What do you think about adding a lazy load for forum sections? so how is it in several templates on the marketplace? This would speed up forum loading and improve the result on google pagespeed.
something like here

Grafidea reacted to Linux-Is-Best in CKEditor 4 end of life - alternative editor consideration
CKEditor 4 is reaching the end of life (source). Instead of jumping onto the CKEditor 5 bandwagon, I propose Invision consider an alternative editor. There are many well-established modern editors such as, for example, TinyMCE, Froala, Quill, and Redactor, to name a few. Any of these would make satisfactory alternatives.
CKEditor may be 'old school,' but it has become bloated, larger in file size and load time. Most of the issues it encounters often have to do with responsive layouts on a mobile device and excessive load time. As mobile continues to dominate the landscape, I feel it may be prudent to focus on an editor development that has kept up successfully with the times with the least issues.
Changing the editor should not be expected in the next release. But a roadmap should be considered for a future transition. Thank you for your time and consideration. 😀

Grafidea reacted to jair101 in Font awesome 5.0
Do you have any plans to integrate Font Awesome 5.0 with the suite?

Grafidea reacted to The Old Man in Font Awesome 6
FA4 was rather amazingly last updated in 2016 and almost 3 years since FA5 was released, but despite multiple requests from clients, IPS didn't/wouldn't support it. Somewhat frustrated, but fortunately not in a sexual way, we chuckled cheekily that FA6 would be out by the time FA5 was integrated, but more seriously it is IMHO still a missed opportunity as there were a lot of really good features like Pro, Duotone and Light icons and of course the super useful themed Icon Packs.
So I personally think, respectfully and sadly, that IPS 'dropped the ball' by not utilising a team member to update the outdated FA4 integration. If IPS had launched an integrated proprietary awards and badges feature (er, hello?) for members after adding the automated rule logic of member promotions, it could really have shined by supporting FA5's theme packs and new styles like the multi colour Duo Tone icons.
Some time ago FA launched kits for FA5 with the ability to upgrade to FA5 on the fly, but the FA4 to FA5 shim although super useful, meant accepting a performance hit, especially if you use more than one style of icon.
So here's hoping that Font Awesome 6 once released later this year will be integrated into IPS a lot sooner.
If you have a Pro licence for FA5, look out for the limited time discounted FA6 Pro upgrade offer.
If you haven't already seen it, enjoy the crazy video (that probably should have been shorter!) 🤔

Grafidea reacted to SeNioR- in Unanswered Content in "My Activity Streams"
Hi. I miss an option here that would show unanswered content (topics with no reply).

Grafidea reacted to SeNioR- in Bypass thumbnails for profile pictures
It should definitely be implemented/improved. Can you move the topic to the suggestions section?
-
Grafidea reacted to SeNioR- in Link Similar Topic
I got the idea to do something like linked topics that could be marked by staff. Links could be in the widget or under the first post.
I know I can achieve a similar effect with tags but, I wouldn't have to use tags to relate several similar topics to each other.

Grafidea reacted to SeNioR- in Cache Not Working Notification only.
Apparently the cache is not working completely correctly. Are you using Redis?
As for this message, it will disappear by itself. Try to clear the cache.

Grafidea got a reaction from Ibai in Advanced Tags & Prefixes
What do you think about creating an option to add prefixes in front of the topic name in different colors? to choose from in some sections of the forum? something like in the attachment. I think this is a very useful feature and needed.

Grafidea reacted to Ghost Face in Advanced Tags & Prefixes
Yes, definitely! That's actually a core feature I was expecting IPS to have but was surprised it didn't.
