If the attachments are unavailable to guests, we get a ugly message. Instead, I would suggest removing the redirect and adding a login popup. This will eliminate unnecessary errors, reduce server load, and more encourage guests to log in.

The editor displays buttons for each screen resolution. When editing a thread on a desktop, we see a limited number of buttons for mobile devices. The editor has a lot of free space on the toolbar, it should be filled to the maximum.

@Randy Calvert Randy, it's great that you're so active, but you're a customer like all of us, so let the IPS Team write something, because you act like their spokesperson or someone who knows more than us, and you know as much as we all do, which is nothing.

Let me add this to my list of things to bring forward to the team. Without a backend, there wouldn't be a frontend, but I do understand that this has been a common request so I'll see how, when and if this can be implemented.

ImageMagick is used by IPS to handle uploads of images, resizing them, compressing them and creating thumbnails.
Why not give the community admin the option to use ImageMagick to convert uploaded images by users to WebP?
As long as WebP is now accepted by IPS 4.6, I imagine that would be very simple to add this feature to the suite.
I am having a great experience converting the images that I post on my community to WebP. Same quality and much less bytes than JPG or PNG or GIF.

A year has passed... It seems to me that IPS thinks too much about the backend and forgot about the frontend.

We can use them for badges... wouldn't anywhere we use images make sense to have svg as an option at least?

Is .webp currently supported for logos? Unless I am mistaken, within the ACP, I only see an option within "Posting" to set images upload extensions but I see no other abilities to set extensions throughout the site. Am I missing where I can enable this?

I would like to suggest that highlights also get a setting to work per forum instead of site wide per group, or a way to toggle it off per post.

Automatically resize / optimize images served to the client to improve page speed. Convert images / gifs to most efficient format. This should be a core feature if it's not already. 
Nginx offers a module called "image_filter" which would accomplish this, but having it added as a core feature if IPB would be much easier!

I have best VPS server. php 8.0.14, redis on, and give 512MB php memory limit. Desktop ist good 96/100 points, mobile device 50-60 points. The mobile version should be optimized.
